There is nothing wrong with pointing that out if you find there is a discrepancy between the character artwork and environmental art. I do not find it jarring however I do wonder what the scene would look like without the characters present.

The strange thingie at the end of the string/finishing line is a fishing lure. The gold part is usually either wood or metal in the shape of a fish body and painted as such. The orange and green items are probably feathers to make the body move like a fish when in water. The feathers also hide the barbed hook. They should be careful with it sitting there. If one of them accidentally steps on it it will be a painful surprise.

Maybe. I pictured them just sleeping in bed, but I can also appreciate the aspect that the two of them are in the middle of no where enjoying the solitude and love between them. No doubt Tom did an amazing job with the background too.

I can’t actually do any of the paid parts of patreon, so correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t you have to renew your subcribtions to each acxo Jt each month, so it’s likely some people couldn’t afford it, or forgot to renew it because the month just changed

You don't need to manually renew each month, but some people may have had their cards expire. A lot of people's cards will have expirations in may/june because they got the account to go with a summer job. So give it 72 hours or so. Some people may just need to update their pledge info.
