Yeah, most likely wasn't before, since the Templar robes still fell off Traces subject. Considering it probably slipped off the shoulders it was likely a tall/broad shouldered guy before

Sounds like different magic types though, this one seems to be a more instanious one and based off of dragon magic, while the one he used on Mary was a more painful version of Euchre’s. Probably still similar spells though
