Given the recent revelations about Maddie’s age, I wonder if it is actually possible for them to both look like this at some point. Of course, none of these sketches are cannon, so it doesn’t matter. And given that Maeve age a faster than Maddie, they will be at the same ‘age’ at some point.

If you use Maeve's age chart, she's currently 6 y.o. and will reach adulthood in 2 years, Maddie will only be 19 so still young adult age. I'd say this image could be placed 2~4 years later in the timeline.

Something just occurred to me that trace is the most saddest of the the characters and I don't mean physically sad I mean in a few years his best friend's and love of his life are going to be gone Keith flora natani (though limited interaction but still friends) and it's really sad it's like your best friend and only source of socializing is with you grandparents in there 90s they'll be gone in a few short years and you'll be all alone and in traces case I think that will kill him either literally or figuratively in the sense he might go back to previous ways or just wander of never seen again and it's really sad when you think about the aftermath after the inevitable happy ending of twokinds

Keidran age almost as fast as the animals they're based on and Basitins age like humans so one day they will be the same "age" in terms of physical maturity and then Maeve will pass Maddie and die 40 years before her. Also sketches aren't canon.

FYI, if Maddie looks like that at the age of 17 it's a 10% chance that they'll look like this in 2 to 4 years, so this event is not possible... sorry to crush your dreams...

Given the context of the current chapter it's all the more plausible. If they were the same age in terms of years, Maeve would mature much faster and probably be in her mid life crisis by the time Maddie hit adulthood. In terms of physical maturity they'll probably both be in their "mid 20's" around the same time. At any rate, Maeve will catch up to Maddie, then surpass her, then die a few decades before Maddie.

Tom puts out 1-2 full colour comic pages per week, plus an average of 6 sketches per week, PLUS 5 full colour pictures per month, on his own, and receives one lump payment at the end of each month in support of that (note: not as payment for that work, end month coloured pics aside). Maybe it was a little harsh, but people who complain about comic updates being late don't get benefit of the doubt.

sorry, but if what's your telling me is true, then it'll be the most painful scratch in history, and i do mean that it'll hurt like hell for then, or growing almost 1.5~ feet in 4 years is absurdly unlikly, especially at the age of 17, maybe at 12, or 15, but not 17...

Did you even look at the link where is shows Maeve's 2 year growth spurt (<a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/maeve-age-14237719">https://www.patreon.com/posts/maeve-age-14237719</a>)? Either way 1.5 feet is a huge exaggeration of the difference in height for Maddie. She's about 5'0"~5'2" at 17, in this picture she's probably about 5'7" or 5'8" given the Maeve is likely her mother's height or so at 5'9". 6 inches of growth in 4 years is hardly a stretch or a "scratch". It's be a notable growth spurt and would make sense for Maddie to be a late bloomer like some people I've known. One of my friends from high school grew from 5'10" to 6'2 from ages 16 to 18 so there's that. Either way this image really is well within the realm of possibility.

Lol, seriously? Yes, I've read it about 20 times. First, the chart was literally a lore request, Tom has in the past stated that Keidran age both faster and in a very non-linear way compared to humans. The chart was a way for him to illustrate that. Second, Maddie is 1/2 a head shorter than Keith who is 5'5" so about 4~5 inches shorter. Even in an earlier part of the comic you can compare her to Natani who is 6'3". Maddie's head lines up with Nat's collar bone which would put her at 14" shorter. In every case Maddie lines up with being about 5' to 5'1". Your mistake here is assuming anything in reality that pertains to humans would be applicable to a fantasy species in a fantasy comic. If you actually look at the numbers and take into account what the author him self has said about the species that he invented maybe you would understand my side of the argument here. Either way you can believe what you want, this debate has gone way too long, have a good one.
