Nora Card sponsored by Azuma! Original sketch here.

Bonus Lore:

Many tigers in the tiger lands do not have dedicated bedrooms in their homes. Instead, they usually have one large room and one large, round bed in the center, low to the ground or even built into the floor. An entire family will sleep together in this communal bed.

The bed in this art is a slightly smaller version of a traditional tiger bed. A sort of hybrid between human and tiger design, raised off the ground more than a tiger's bed would be, but still round in the traditional style.

Have the Twokinds characters have their own gundam

DiDiDi-X

Awww, that's so cute.

KHVathiel

My heart melts ;^;

Damn, Tom! You are on a roll with the Nora Cards! I'm loving the quality of these. Thank you again, Azuma for the sponsor.

Villes Vill

Wait they all sleep together on the same bed? Kids and parents. So everyone gets to watch when two members get intimate with each other. Also wouldn't that be a great way to spread disease fast?

Reptani

It's so adorable the pure I could just explode 🥰

Norvin Fisk

I like the bonus lore, though it does raise some questions.

ChampionOfBagels

Now this is some interesting worldbuilding. Always fun to read when I see it.

Thomas Fischbach

Strange as it sounds, up until recently humans used to sleep communally too. Before the modern age, most people could not afford multiple beds, much less rooms to put them in. In tiger society, privacy isn't a concept. Even strangers will share beds when traveling, and feel no weirdness about it.

Villes Vill

You are right humans did do that for a long time. But also remember how many issues that plagued us throughout the ages. Smallpox spread like wildfire and people criticize everything about mating. I could keep going but I really don't want to rain on anyone's parade

Ordithus

Well this is adorable

The Sexy Beast

I hope Tiger Trace becomes canon by series' end.

The Furry Centinel

Where do you get all your creative ideas from, Tom? It's something beyond my imagination... I must admit that between my preference for Twokinds and my preference for Dreamkeepers, it's all about some kind of healthy competition inside my head. At this point I just cannot decide which one is better... And I think I never will, each one is awesome and incredibly special at its own way...

SCD

This is very sweet.

Quite Possibly a Sombrero

Keidran dont live that long anyway and live in not-so-modern-villiages, I'm sure it wouldnt make too much of a difference in the scheme of things. Besides we've got magic for diseases.

Villes Vill

I mean if people have access to magic than what's stopping diseases from having access to it too?

Keith Keiser

It's nice to see them two happy together

Ellarihan

Microbes-magicians. Microbes in magic hats. I just imagined it. How to stop laughing?

Golden Gears

I wouldn't imagine disease to have a mind to use it. It appears as though only beings with a consciousness can manipulate magic and even then they appear to specifically need a human brain or dragon brain to run it in order to get the best results.

Ellarihan

Like in the Cameron's Avatar?

Golden Gears

These types of ideas also have holes that can be filled in with filled in with far more fantastical ideas. Like the theories I come up with for example!

Golden Gears

Repeating this will not get it in the voting ballot! Although it might have already been in the voting ballot the last time that I checked.

Villes Vill

Hmm I mean what's stopping a disease or parasite to weaponize a host own magic against them. It could be as simple as making them not notice the side effects their experiencing

Saberbeam

Thanks for asking what I imagine most of us were all wondering lol And I suppose arguably really solid cleanliness standards could combat a lot of the immediate threats of plague. The tiger tribe we saw just a while ago all looked well groomed and in good shape. Definitely a good question though...

DragonLordRyu

I really like this tiger lore, I hope it's okay if I use this lore too

As Tom says, while our sister lineage chimps use individual sleep platforms [ https://www.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/4/140416-chimpanzees-trees-sleep-beds-animals-science/ ], humans adopted communal such early on [ https://www.livescience.com/17375-oldest-mattresses-early-humans.html ]. And yes, they were nasty: "Many of the plant remains are species of Cryptocarya, evergreen plants that are used extensively in traditional medicines. The beds appeared to be mostly composed of river wild-quince (Cryptocarya woodii), whose crushed leaves emit insect-repelling scents. ... Microscopic analysis of the bedding suggested the inhabitants repeatedly refurbished the mats. Starting about 73,000 years ago, the site's inhabitants apparently also burned the bedding regularly, "possibly as a way to remove pests," Miller said. ... These mats were used for more than just slumber. "The bedding was not just used for sleeping, but would have provided a comfortable surface for living and working," Wadley said." Sweet dreams ... they look so relaxed. Good one!

Stephen Gilberg

But then it won't be an interspecies romance anymore.
