So many suggestions and nice to see this poll return

Maria McCloud

I really want to see that adorable pregnant Flora belly wrap " our present will be here soon" one that sounds too precious

Starcat13

yahoo, so many options! :)

I just wanted to ask: Whoever suggested the "Brutus fiercely defends Clovis from an attacker" suggestion a month or so ago, did you give up on that one or did you switch to a different one for the holidays? Does Tom keep a list of the suggestions from previous months, because maybe they arent a Patron anymore at all? I want to know because if you are no longer a patron or have given up on the suggestion, I will probably start suggesting it soon

IvyReed

So much mistletoe! I love it! (I'm really rooting for the chimera though she is my favorite)

The pregnancy suggestions always tug at my heart strings , please let them being voted for ♡

ChampionOfBagels

There were so many good choices this time it was exhausting to enjoy so many and realize only a few could be picked

That is the suggestion I have been submitting. As you inferred I had switched to a Christmas theme for December (Grinch Clovis) and since that was fortunate enough to be selected as a Tom pick this past Sunday I am on cool down for this week. If I could of I very likely would have tried the attack suggestion again this week just because of the mass vote. I am curious to see just where it sits with a larger number of Patreon voters where they can indicate their level of interest on each suggestion as opposed to the very reduced number that can vote in the elimination system in the Sunday TKPolls. In the TKPolls it was being eliminated with no more than two votes. I presume yours was the one other vote. It it was, thank you. :) Come January I might give it another few tries. It didn't really stand a chance in December against the seasonal suggestions.

Ah, ok. I just wanted to make sure since I really liked that suggestion and I already have a sequel for it planned out, so if you had stopped being a Patron or had given up on the suggestion, I'd have had to carry the torch

Katfeathers

I noticed, the two Chimera suggestions are potentially combinable.

donutguy

Very much the same! Or at least, ties for first with Reni :P

Katfeathers

One for Chimera on referencing as Frankenstein

Elvenhunter84

I wonder if Tom would be willing to do a very dialogue heavy sketch. He could even put some/most of the dialogue in the description of the sketch so that it's even faster to draw

donutguy

*facepalm...I should have seen that, lol...thanks

I like the idea of the Omni-Poll. You can consistently see if your request has a shot or is a dud that you should change for next week, people have a longer time to vote, and don’t need to be there for the stream. Also, I hope that I got mine through in time.

From what I can tell, the omnipoll tends to favour the more prominent characters (going by when it was in use from around June to October) whereas tkpolls is more diverse. Laura in particular was hard hit, not being sketched once (compared to tkpolls in which she averages around 1 poll win per month). Other characters like Zen also suffered. Certain kinds of suggestions also stand a better chance when being voted on during stream time, the Flora ban hammer sketch for example; hard to see how it would win in the omnipoll. The omnipoll also has a bearing on Tom picks. On tkpolls, Tom selects a suggestion from three randomly generated blocks (with the fourth block not being considered for a Tom pick that week). This gives a fairer chance to all suggestions, both through the randomness factor and reducing the pool of sketches that can be picked from. I've also noticed less "bandwagoning" on tkpolls (there's still some, but it tends to burn itself out more quickly). Regarding voting style, the omnipoll uses a FPTP (First Past the Post) based system, a system widely regarded as being suppressive to minority voices, and tends to result in two party systems (sorry for getting political). tkpolls on the other hand uses the PR (Proportional Representation) vote, which helps ensure minority opinions/suggestions are adequately represented. Saying all that, I can still understand the appeal of the omnipoll. The longer voting window in particular (which you mentioned), and that it tends to attract more votes overall. It'd be nice if both systems could be used somehow, or the omnipoll changed to take the good bits from tkpolls.

For me, omnipoll has a big advantage in that it allows me to vote outside the stream, since I can almost never get on it because of the time zone difference. For me, it starts too late at night. Omnipoll gives me a chance to vote.

Looks like I'm gonna have to check patreon every stinking day. My notifications are broken. Hopefully my votes came in soon enough to count.
