From Rough's Private TK Fan-Journal: Week 2 of the Kit Kat revival project. Progress is going better than expected. Though perhaps... slightly too good. Only a week after my initial sketch request was accepted, and Mopps, as ever, has already taken it to the lewdest place allowable by Tom. At least... I hope he has. I knew I would awaken something in the fandom when I first thought to resurrect the sweet forbidden Katboi fruit. I only hope that what I woke wasn't... a monster. Nora help us all.

Me too. Mainly because it looks more promising than the two others ships proposed. I mean, Evals and Zen aren't bad guys, but they're braggarts, always thinking and acting fast, somewhat irresponsible, and even a bit manipulative sometimes when they think it's the best for the one they love. Mike and Kat are very naive and very kind, they have no experience of real autonomy, they're shy... Putting them with such balls of energy and dynamism, without delay, doesn't sound that engaging. They did even had the occasion to feel what freedom really is and entails. They need a more gentle support, someone who will take it slowly... And right now, the best option for that is, well, with each other.

It showed up briefly for me but then was taken down. Patreon might have some kind of anti-spam filter on. Though I've posted some uh... pretty long comments (750 words... ish.) and they're still up, so idk. I have found if you try to edit a comment more than once or twice Patreon has a tendency to eat it for some reason.

Evals is just oblivious sometimes. Honestly I'm not even sure he's aware Mike has feelings for him yet. But he really does seem to care about Mike, at least as a dear friend. How he'll react if and when Mike ever reveals he has deeper feelings is yet to be seen. Judging by how Tom writes his characters, though... I think he'll come around. Or if not, he'll steer his best friend towards a more receptive friendly doggy cousin. He really is a good dog at heart. As for Zen. He's either been focused on work, or in horrible pain and blitzed out of his mind on medicinal herbs for pretty much all the time we've known him in the comic. Other than that, we know he's always very protective and concerned for Natani. Sometimes too much so. I think that desire to shelter and protect people would make him the perfect fit for someone like Kat who has been so reliant (probably over-reliant) on Eric's support. I think Zen and Kat getting together might serve the dual purpose of helping Zen ease up on the well-meaning but slightly overbearing helicopter bro act he's been pulling on Nat and Keith's relationship, while also helping Kat gain more confidence in her ability to build relationships outside of her unfortunate crush on her foster brother. Tl;dr: Give their characters some time to develop. They'll get there.
