I thought I was going to die if I couldn’t get in there. Guard: However… young lady, such cuteness needs to be protected at all costs. I will be your escort. Jerry! I need you to man this entrance for a while! Jerry: Really Kozu!? Why do you always… oh, I see. I suppose I can man this entrance for a while. Madelyn: (thinking) Nooooo! These stinkers are messing with my plans! Madelyn: (aloud) Sir, I’m sure I’ll be alright. Kozu: No young lady, we cannot risk any chance you will be injured. One order of Dragon Stew for the cute one here! Madelyn: Isn’t Dragon expensive? Kozu: Yes. Very. But only the best for the cutest maiden in all the land. Is there something you would like to drink also? Madelyn: Some Eastern Basitin rum would be amazing. I swiped some once when I got lost and found myself in Easterner Territory and it’s to die for. I can pitch in a few gold coins if they have it, you get some also since you’re being so helpful. Kuzo: Okay. Two orders of Eastern Basitin Rum please! Madelyn: You won’t regret this Mr. Kozu. *puts the gold coins on the table as the mugs are set down, then starts eating her stew* Kuzo: So, where are you from little lady? I haven’t seen you around? *takes a swig* Wow! This stuff is good! Madelyn: Oh, I’m from around the border, that’s how I got lost in easterner territory. Oh No! Is that the guy who’s been chasing me?! Kuzo: *Gets up, turns around, and draws a sword* Who is it young lady? Madelyn: He hid as soon as i pointed him out. His ear is clipped. I’m so worried, can you check that corner of the room? Kuzo: Yes, my lady. *goes on wild goose chase* Madelyn: (thinking) I can’t just disappear when he knows I’m here, but I can make it look like he passed out drunk and tell his friend he passed out when I leave. *drugs Kuzo’s drink* Kuzo: No body saw anyone with a clipped ear. You’re safe. Madelyn: I’m sorry Mr. Kuzo, I’ve been on the run for a couple weeks and I’m just really nervous right now I guess. Maybe I’ll calm down if I drink a bit more. *starts drinking more of her basitin rum* Kuzo: *drinks more, while making some small talk* <i>Ten Minutes Later</i> Kuzo: You’re so *hic* pretty. If ya wur *hic* a few yers *hic* older I’d ask yuh da *hic* court meh. *hic, collapses on the table and starts snoring* Madelyn: (thinking) Finally! Where'd you go?" *Distant ringing of alarm bells.* Kevin: "Well that doesn't sound... good." Guard 1: "Some little maniac raided the archives! Then she set fire to the well and flooded out the firehouse on her way out!" Kevin: "Ya know... this probably isn't even related to my thing." Guard: "And she said KEVIN let her through the gate!" Kevin: "I'm just gonna... lay low in this here buffet for a bit. I'm sure this isn't that serious. It'll all blow over soon." Guard 1: "This is very serious! There's no way it'll blow over any time soon!" Kevin: "...Well, Kevin. You always said you wanted to ditch this town and explore the Isles someday. No time like the present, I guess."

This is a bit of a departure from what I usually write, but I might turn this into a short fanfic or something. Guard: "Alright, fine. We'll talk to the boss. Fair warning, puppy dog eyes don't work on him." Maddie: "They don't? Why?" Guard: "The boss is blind to cuteness." Maddie: "Why do I always get the blind ones?" Guard: "What was that?" Maddie: "Nothing!" *Enter hut* Guard: "Hey, boss. We picked up this runt on the street looking for food." *Madelyn spies a form in the shadows, wearing a cloak. His face is in darkness.* Maddie: "Um. Hello?" *In a sudden flurry of motion, the boss extends an arm and flings 2 knives at Madelyn. They embed themselves in the door frame on either side of Maddie's neck. The cross at the handle, pinning her to the frame.* Boss: (in Keidran) "Ah. Miss Adelaide. I see you've come to the other side of the island." Maddie: "Who are you? What do you want?" Boss: (In Keidran) "So many questions" *The Boss rises from stool in the corner and seemingly glides over to her* "You will not benefit from knowing what I want. But as for my identity..." *The boss lifts a hand to her neck and loosens one of the knives. We see his hand is black and very fox-like. Another hand is brought to the hood and it falls back, revealing Clovis, grinning his yellowed teeth.* Maddie: "You! But, but, how?" Clovis: (in Keidran) "I came to reacquire one of my men, banished here by a magic-wielding woman. The western men are unintelligent, untrained. I easily outclass them, and they don't even speak much Keidran." Guard: "Boss, do you know this little girl?" Clovis: "Ah, she fooled you too?" *Rips knife out of wall, grabs Maddie's hair, and dunks her head in nearby bucket of water.* "She's not little, nor western. This little punk is 21 years of age, and is an eastern spy!" *Holds Maddie underwater until she kicks bucket away from her head* Maddie: *gasps for air.* You sick coward! You corrupt the weak for your own gain!" *the wet paint is running down her face and hair. Subtly reaching under her skirt, she pulls out a thin, but razor sharp knife.* Clovis: "Gag her and tie her up out back. We've been compromised. Get Carver, tell him to ready the next locatio--ah!" *Maddie whips out knife from dress and slashes 18 inches across Clovis' chest from waist to shoulder. She also slices through Clovis' chest bindings.* Clovis: "Change of plan! Kill her!" *The guard lunges at her, but she sidesteps and drives the knife through his collarbone. She rushes through the door and runs straight into another guard* Guard 2: "Going somewhere, punk?" Maddie: "So are you!" *She slashes his left underarm, ducks out, and perforates the backs of both his knees. As he falls to the ground, she shoves the knife through his back into his lungs.* Maddie: *Walking back* "You're going straight to hell." *Wipes knife on skirt and walks off, looking for more body paint.*

After I started twokınds, I finished the novel in 2 3 days and ... it was not enough for me :) assuming that twokınds has been developing since 2004, I found that this novel has many more websites. We like to write, and it's an outlet for our creativity. On occasion length can get out of hand, but, we write these because we like writing them and people like reading them.

There is no original song. When writing it I made up my own beat. I guess the main point was for people to interpret it any way they wanted.
