this hit me A LOT. like this made me cry/sorta sob for a good 5-7 minutes, and even now after 4 hours later, i'm still quite effected at thinking about this rose deserved a LOT better treatment, from everyone (except for saria, she was very kind to her) in her life (before this moment)

Warmfur

I really want to believe that rose willingly helped trace (for the most part) to help bring saria back. Since saria was her only light in her world. That "saria, I'll see you soon" is rose is willing to do what it takes to see her again. Which, she unfortunately doesn't, since she was robbed of her death. And is still living through the house. as much as I'll miss rose when the magic does go, and she finally rests in piece. I'll be happy that she is finally at piece, after a lifetime of life being cruel to her. And finally seeing saria again

DiDiDi-X

I'm crying. I'm actually crying. This is too much to handle. ;_;

Norvin Fisk

That got dark really fast.

Jestar

I love most of your work but this is very heartbreaking...

Jasonfax

Me too ;_; This is heartbraking

ThermoNuke

I love your sketches. They portray so much more emotional detail before they’re colored. The depth of her weariness is so detailed in her face. Fantastic job Tom, probably the most valuable skill of a good artist is being able to push an emotion via their art and you’ve nailed it.

Serif G. Font

I feel bad because I can't cry about this even though it makes me sad.

SCD

Rose: And when I do, I’m going to clobber you! You *****! Trace: O_O (walks away backwards, real slow)

AstroChaos

... why do I have a feeling this isn't that far off from cannon?

ProudLoneWolf

One has to wonder if Trace said to her "Hey, instead of dying, is it okay if I make you a ghostly immortal?" Or "Let's go servant, I'm making you a ghostly immortal now." Leaning towards the latter.

Austin Micheal

Dang that was darker than i expected

Blackjack

Wow that got dark.....

Calvin-Skye

When you looked at the current adorkible Trace, you can easily forget how dark he was... Dammmmmn

Roughlandin

Thus proving there is no situation so bleak and depressing that Old Trace cannot find a way to make worse, in his own special way. He really was a bastard.

CrRAR

Yes, like feelings are captured in lyrics of a song or words in a book, Tom does in art.

Wolf guy

The start of the experiments.

RivCA

Probably the most disturbing of all, she sees the writing on the walls (and likely has for some time) and knows to do anything would be utterly fruitless. The former Trace Legacy is just that kind of right bastard.

Terrifyingboi

Wow, that got dark... even literally, the background is dark.

AstroChaos

Come with me... there is one final way for you to serve your Mistress...

steelabjur

People have been commenting like this was something done to Rose and she had no role in the plan to bring Saria back. Rose's comment here could be seen as her committing to doing whatever required to see Saria again.

Silent Thunder

Yeah, I agree. She knew she didn’t have much time left regardless, so she committed to working with Trace’s “drastic measures”, for the faint hope something would eventually work, whatever the cost to herself.

Mīonikoī

No amount of sorries can fix things.

CrimsonQuill086

How involved was Rose in the experimentation to possibly bring Saria back? Did she collude (albeit reluctantly) with Trace, or did he rob her of peace in Death at the end for his experiments?
