So I get the notification for this from the app and when I get here, it says I'm not loggged in? Like, how did the notification come through?

I think everyone has been getting randomly logged out lately. I have been getting that on just about every device i log into this site with lately.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that Patreon might've had a security breach and had a policy that forced everyone to sign in again just in case. Either that or a glitch in their authentication service.

As for the notification, it's most likely that the Patreon app was still technically logged in until you opened it. Once you opened the app the authentication service checked the token, realized your token was expired, and then promptly logged you out.

I still g the email even though I’m logged out sometimes. I don’t know how it happens. But yes, I’ve been getting logged out too.

I've been getting logged out about once a month for well over a year. I guess I'd assumed it was one of Patreon's absurd security measures, but now wishing I'd brought it up somewhere...I hate it... What about having to endure a 2-stage captcha? I try the "why am I seeing this" link, and it suggests I run a virus scan, and I have, twice, and found NOTHING the second time!

to be fair, her culture has that taboo. And she is a soldier/spy so discipline put into her. when sending spies, you don't want those who might adjust and go native.
