She’s gonna take out a loan, isn’t she?

Dimensional

To try and get out of lack of funds, Kat goes into Freelance Web design. Luckily a friend of hers, a Cheetah Keidran, is needing help building a website for comics. XD

Kyle Kowalchuk

Love the "Hey Rude", as you try to see her card number. Like I need to steal her identity.

Blackjack

Shes gonna have to get a side gig baby sitting the next door neighbor's daughter to earn some extra Gs... Good thing is that little snep girl is a sweetie.

Niskara

This is way too relatable

InTheLionsDen

Big brother Eric was slow on transferring in the monthly allowance, again. I hear the Templar College is paying for volunteers to help in grad student studies.

I'm still struggling to see how Kat could be overdrawn, considering she: A) apparently has like 5 jobs in the Modern AU; and B) isn't even in the Top 3 most drawn characters according to Tom's patreon, lol. Still, excellent job making a cute sketch out of a... confusing and not particularly funny joke, Tom!

Broaster07

At least she got her card back.

zenoshikage

I've done that during my college years. Text books really did a number on my checking account.

Heresy

Nonsense, you can never have too many Kat drawings. :3

Jo demon

How much does she need? I’m willing to donate money to Kat. Actually Is modern Kat a seamstress still?

Onyx Dragon 388

LH21-9501-1071 she forgot to cover the card number

IncredibleFella

I agree. In the time since Christmas, there have been an average of 1-2 sketches each month including her and only two painted in total, if I am not mistaken. For half a year, that's not so excessive.

coredumperror

Love the redundancy of "ATM Machine".

Richard V.

Been there, those textbooks are absurdly expensive.

Majyxs

"Zen, come on over here, Sweetie Pup. This *machine* says I am *overdrawn*!" [Who Made Who by AC/DC plays in the background]

Wilford B. Wolf

At least she's not overdrawn at the memory bank.

JAB the Tab

she's probs gonna start an onlyfans to get some extra cash lol

G

You jest, but jobs at strip clubs are often taken up by college students. It's a decent amount of money for a single job.

JasonAW3

Well, at least she's not overdrawn at the memory bank...

KaiserDunk

Templar Express; don’t leave home without it!

Harvey Danger Noodle

This is the point when you hope your account has been hacked

Shadow Runner844

Agreement. The worst about textbooks was that I could sell certain ones back to the school but, I would only get like $5 for a book that had cost me at least $100 or more. On the upside the $5 was enough to get a few sodas out of the vending machine in the student lounge.

LupusK

So that’s what this meant!

RivCA

Probably has, already. Modern students have it a bit rough...

RivCA

It sucks, but that's also what they're counting on. They're also counting on being able to take those used books and turn them around for a tidy profit, marking up by an order of magnitude. Word of advice to students: Cut the middleman, don't sell to the school. Useful for books that stay the same year in and year out. Old editions (if the publisher is dumb) will only have one or two things changed up to artificially inflate the cost and demand.

I am actually laughing about the ATM Templar Express 😂😂😂 history geek here… the Templars were the first people sanctioned by the Vatican to be money lenders other than the church. They were used as banks for the crusades. You would deposit your money with them at home and they would give you an encrypted piece of parchment that you would turn in at the other end and the Templars in the holy land would decode it and know how much you deposited and let you draw against it to purchase gear, food, and other items. 😂😂😂 if this was intentional …. GOOD JOB YOU! If it was not… still GOOD JOB YOU! Love it.

RivCA

Wow, I honestly didn't know this! Very cool. It likely wasn't intentional, as there is a large-scale organization in the comic series called the Templars, so this is just a carry-over from that. Note that this is just speculation, while you actually have facts. My hat is off to thee!
