Sequel to Willow Selfie

Why is Kat not wearing pants?

Broaster07

I was just going to say Kat has less clothes on now than in the gym.

VC

Why would Kat wear pants?

CrRAR

*documentarian voiceover* In the future, squirrel-rule has made it mostly futile to attempt wearing pants in public, so many have completely decided to forgo the unnecessary tradition of pansitude and embrace the exciting new-d world order!

VGR

Sorry, what did you say? I was busy looking at the tiger behind them.

David Gipe

Hehe, I love how comfortable they are; being more concerned about being tagged in the image.

Jeebüüs

Seems very much like a Kathrin thing to do tbh

Indigo

Because she's a keidran and doesn't need them. <3 There's a tiger in the background that's not wearing pants, either. Remember, keidran don't feel the need for clothes the same way humans do.

DiDiDi-X

I just realized the Tiger in the back is not wearing pants either lol

Brocade

So much cute midriff! And Kat looks so bare when she’s bottomless like this!!

Travis9x

I love that their concern is that they weren't tagged in the photo/post, rather than about the content of said photo. 😹

coredumperror

Maybe it's a hint from Tom that explains why they aren't incensed about being half-naked in Willow's post. The reason they're complaining about not being tagged, instead of complaining about being in the pic at all.

Roughlandin

Excerpt from the Vaughan Big Book of New Edinmire Etiquette: With regard to the fashion trends and wardrobe requirements of typical New Edinmire life; travelers and new residents not familiar with traditional Keidran custom may be in for a slight surprise at the somewhat... relaxed dress code. While many residents do choose to adopt more modern attire, it is still not uncommon to find many Keidran wearing traditional dress... or undress. The result is a wide and colorful mish-mash as varied as the species that make up the city itself. On any given New Edinmire street, one is likely to find the latest in haut couture intermingled with traditional tribal costume worn since time forgotten, along with more than a fair bit of, to be frank... casual nudity. Such trends are not limited to the Keidran residents. While some may still consider it... avant garde, finding humans, and even the odd Basitin, who has decided to shed their inhibitions (and a good portion of their wardrobe) is becoming more common with each passing year! As a final note: While all of this may be novel, and a bit shocking, for new visitors to the city; it is still considered common courtesy not to stare. And if one cannot help themselves, at least try not to get caught!

The Flaming Rabbit

When has Kat ever worn pants? she also usually doesn't wear a shirt

Roughlandin

Ah, I see the modern Keidran have not forgotten that age old secret - Bottomless is best! XD And shame on Willow! ...For not tagging Laura and Kat! They have followings to maintain too! A pro-gaming streamer and an up-and-coming fashion designer need to keep their image up. And that locker room pic was quite an image! Great work and neat little bits of visual lore expansion for the Modern AU, Tom! Congrats, Baconcopter!

Rick K

This may be a furry-only AU, especially with a Nora on top of that building in the far background, and at people waiting at the furry-type crossing light. Totally clothing-optional, but a cute top is still perfect for humorous signage. They're probably disappointed at not being given a chance to mug for her camera so everybody could recognize them when it goes viral with a tag of "unspeakably cute".

Roughlandin

Interesting idea! Although we've already seen Trace and Raine in Modern AU pics (if this is still implied to be the same continuity) and it's been loosely suggested that the Sam and Colin concept takes place in the same general time period, if not area.

Techdragon

Re: Keidran not wearing pants. I remember another webcomic where the characters are all anthro animals and the main character is a skunk who doesn't appear to wear pants though other characters clearly do. I believe one episode years into the run shows her wearing pants for seemingly the first time ever, and her roommate comments on it. She replies that her usual pants aren't available (either dirty or worn out) so she had to wear these instead, and there's an exchange about how weird it would be if someone thought she had been naked from the waist down for years.

2026-10-08 12:00 In the locker room, both Laura & Kat are sporting undies, but outside the Kedrian is not? Not complaining, just wondering if the continuity imps have been messing with your artwork.

Lord Chaos

Pffft. Like anybody cares who is in the background.

Jasonfax

They had us in the first half, not gonna lie

Adrian V. Nunenkamp

The comic you mention is Sabrina Online by Eric Schwartz. ;)

V1nc3nt

Looks better without them honestly

Mīonikoī

Some wear pants. Some do not. Being caught half naked as a kiedran is less upsetting than not being tagged in a photo.

Ascender

So bikini bottoms are required in the pool, but not on the street? I think I like this world...

V1nc3nt

Well plus i think their fur covers a lot only thing that shows is butt crack and bellybutton

ThirdKind

...Kat is pantsless in the street...I am so confused

Went Brown

Mmm sexy Keidran girls. And I'm not surprised about Laura and Kat's reactions.

Habilon

I honestly fif not notice the Nora easter cameo till I read your comment

Thisguy

Clearly modern times have not affected Keidran culture, where clothing is optional.

Roughlandin

Definitely a dragon. Not sure if Nora tho...

Peanuts

So when are we getting the full comic? Seems like you've got things fairly well developed for this modern AU :P

KaiserDunk

Is Kat pulling a Sabrina and wearing fur-pattern pants, or is she just not wearing any?

Kyle Cope

Meanwhile, Kat not wearing any pants still

Shadow

That's the difference between real world and this world: clothing is an option.

Mark Temple

one would presume that in that world, public nudity laws would be much more relaxed to accommodate the keidran.
