Bespin

Anyone who knows anything about the SCP foundation most likely understands that this will end very badly for anyone involved

DiDiDi-X

I love how one of the scientists just casually talking with one of the ghosts. Also, this sketch looks amazing. I've got a bad feeling on how this is going to end when we're dealing with SCP here.

Rom13954

I like her look. she's kinda amused and interested to see what the tiny humans will do next

Travis9x

She seems...amused...by what these little human scientists are doing... 😈

ThingsAreMoving

She's safe, has some companionship and internet access. Huge win for the corrupted Durg! ❤

Item Number: SCP-5646 Object Class: Euclid Threat Level: Yellow Special Containment Procedures: article in progress. Will be posted on SCPwiki within 48 hours. Edit: That means I’m turning The Mother into an official SCP. Edit2: It’s already 4-5 of my normal story comments in length. Edit3: I'm not quite finished putting together the article, but here's what I've got on my TwoKinds Wiki Sandbox. Edit4: I'm done with the first draft, please visit below and provide as much feedback as you can here, on the TwoKinds subreddit, or on the community tab here. https://twokinds.fandom.com/wiki/User:DarthKeidran/sandbox/testpage2

ThingsAreMoving

Honestly I kinda counted on that to happen. Power to the writers ~!

DarthKeidran

One D-class dies when they were working on finding her. About 9 researchers die in an experiment months down the line.

Travis9x

I can't tell you how happy and thankful I am, that she's becoming an official SCP. Maybe we'll see her in one of the Containment Breach games at some point?? 🤩 Edit: If she is brought into the games, then they'd better get Tom to do the official art/designs for her.

coredumperror

Heh, reminds me that the game Control is basically "SCP, the video game". Just played it, and I adored the hell out of it.

DarthKeidran

@ThingsAreMoving: Considering the process I’ve been through the past 72 hours to achieve level 5 access within the foundation. I’m a bit surprised. My big question is whether the O5 council will accept the screenshot of Authorization from Security Director Fischbach to host this security image for the article.

DarthKeidran

@Travis9x: That would be amazing to have her wind up in a Containment Breach game. What I’m counting on, though, is it appearing in one of those SCP reading YouTube channels. My only concern while writing the article is they don’t want people to post stuff that isn’t theirs. That’s alleviated by the fact there’s now an Among Us SCP as well.

AstroChaos

I know nothing about the SCP... but I get the feeling y'all done moved her out of a distant swamps and to a location much closer to an urban population. This would be, to put super politely, a major frickin cock-up.

Lord Kaio

This is creepily beautiful

Cliff Warden

Given what we know about her personality, I'd say Euclid. The most difficult task would be monitoring the wisps as they are functionally uncontainable. Though they could negotiate with her for cooperation (I.E. a steady supply of D class

ThingsAreMoving

twokinds.keenspot.com/license If in doubt, ask Tom, but I'm pretty sure it's ok as long as you provide credit to the Man.

Brigham Garoz

Yo! I'm betting those ghosts are her wisps. Willow just being a unique one.

AussieBartender

"Attention: Mobile Task Upsilon-12 Nine Tailed Fox has arrived, all personal are advised to stay where they are until the MTF squad has secured the facility and terminated or recaptured all SCP subjects."

Glassan

Nice; Mother becomes an actual SCP story.

ThirdKind

If ya need help writing for it Darth give me a shout I would love to do it.💖

DarthKeidran

@ThingsAreMoving: Unfortunately, The O5 Council requires a special process for images licensed with CC BY-NC-SA, as are the images from Security Director Fischbach’s security feed. If the process is unable to be completed precisely, the O5 council may not approve the image.

DarthKeidran

@Glassan: I’ve been working on the article for 2 days now. It’s gonna be a big one.

Addendum 5646 A: Excerpt from initial debriefing of SCP-5646 (Self-identified as "Mother") by Dr. T. [REDACTED]. Log Date: 9/8/20XX Location: Foundation Site [REDACTED] ***Begin Excerpt*** Mother: "So... in exchange for letting you run these... tests... your little organization promises to give me an endless supply of cretins, criminals, and reprobates to... enjoy?" Dr. T: "For clerical reasons, we normally just call them D Class. But yes. As long as you abide by the rules of your containment profile and allow us to run a series of minimally invasive experiments, the Foundation will provide you a regular ration of D Class personnel for your, uh... needs." Mother: "Oh, lovely. I do so adore being... h e l p f u l." Dr. T: "Well, I should be going. Feel free to let any of the other staff know if you have any questions. Oh, and please try to remember that you should keep your, er... diet... limited to D Class personnel ONLY." Mother: "Why, thank you, my dear. I shall... try. Do promise you'll visit again soon, though. You have such a beautiful... soul." Dr. T: "Eh-heheh." *Gulps and hurries towards exit.* ***End Excerpt*** Note: Dr. T. disappeared from Site [REDACTED] shortly after this interview. Security records show no indication that he left the premises through normal means, though parking staff found his vehicle, locked and running, in the subterranean lot located adjacent to Containment Wing [REDACTED]. It was also noted that 5646 seemed particularly cooperative and satiated immediately after Dr. T's disappearance - declining her allotment of D Class personnel for a week from normal ration scheduling. Site Security Chief [REDACTED] believes that it may be possible that 5646 is sending her drones on unsupervised excursions outside of her containment cell, possibly by means of [REDACTED]. 07 Council has directed that all efforts should be made to discover the exact nature of the 5646 containment breach and remedy the situation as soon as possible. Site personnel should make all efforts to avoid traveling alone while on-site until the issue is contained.

DarthKeidran

@ThirdKind: I’m actually mostly done writing it. I’ll see about posting a link for people to view and critique it soon.

Roughlandin

Awesome work, Tom! I always love that freaky orb hanging between Mother's horns. Can't wait till this inevitably gets colored! XD Congrats, Things!

Roughlandin

Yay! ...Wait, internet access? 0_o'

DarthKeidran

If it’s alright with you, I’m going to implement some pieces of this in my article.

Roughlandin

Yissss, expose more innocent minds to the TK fandom! Butts for the buttchat!

Roughlandin

Don't know if you've already done this, but it might also be neat to include the Wisps and Willow as instances of SCP-5646-1 and -2, respectively.

Quite Possibly a Sombrero

Just read the original work, oh my god. That's such a twisted element to the twokinds world but I love it. This dragon just out here eating peoples souls.

silver dragonia

there's 3 basic classifications: safe which doesn't reguire any special containment procedures and can safely be studied and there's euclid which reguires special containment procedures and potentially need assistance with studying and there's keter the most dangerious of all which reguires very strict if possible containment and reguires some special access to even study after what i know

AstroChaos

Ahh... So very, very keter then.

silver dragonia

i do wonder if i am a SCP worker i'm able to visit the mother from time to time just to have a chitchat with her i do believe she's nice and curious aswell to what i am able todo

RivCA

Now, this is something I really want to see!

KaiserDunk

Would she be considered Keter?

Ellarihan

Wow, the article seems pretty good! Have you written SCP's articles before?

DarthKeidran

Negative. She is dangerous under certain circumstances, so she would be considered Euclid.

Cliff Warden

A cooperative keter is no keter at all. Especially considering she kinda needs life to flourish if she doesn't want to starve herself out. I doubt she'd be anything more than a particularly big Euclid. She definitely could definitely cause a K-class scenario if she wanted to though

DarthKeidran

@Roughlandin: Mostly done, just working on Test Logs and tidying up, then it will be ready to post. It's available to view at the link above.

DarthKeidran

@RivCA: Check it out at the link above. I'm still editing it, but now it's somewhere you all can see it while I'm working on it.

DarthKeidran

@Ellarihan: Thank you. I haven't written SCP articles before. I have listened to dozens of them, and written other things before. It helps that I used to work as a correctional officer, so I'm used to writing reports in an official manner. I'm also taking advantage of an article about censorship written by a federal official who processes Freedom Of Information Act requests.

Kyle Cope

Interesting... If they could keep her fed/alive she'd probably stay willingly

Arukino

Classification doesn't consider danger itself It considers how hard it is to contain

DarthKeidran

Actually, you're correct. I've been reading so much on the site while preparing my article I conflated Object Classes with Threat Level. I also failed to phrase that sentence correctly given how sidetracked I've been with writing. Given the details on http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/object-classes, I still consider her Euclid as a steady supply of D-Class are more than sufficient to contain her. Given the details on http://scp-int.wikidot.com/niveaux-de-menace-des-objets-scp, I consider her Threat level to be Yellow. Her feeding, unless on already deceased individuals is inherently harmful, but she isn't hard to contain.

DarthKeidran

I actually have. The Black Mana Crystals that the mother craves are designated -1, the wisps are designated -2, Willow is designated -3-1, and Hollow (Willow's vessel) is designated -3-2. Check my comment above for a link if you'd like to review it. Also, suffice it to say, "Researcher T." did find his way on The Mother's menu, in a much faster way than Pizza or Delivery Toms could have hoped for, but it happened nonetheless.

CrimsonQuill086

Just gave it a read through! It's very well written indeed! I hope to see this on the official SCP wiki at some point.

Arukino

Would bump her up to Keter because I am pretty sure she could walk out if she feels like it and the Foundation could do little to stop her

ElderScrollsMekkan

Funny, Cliff, I was thinking the exact same thing during the stream

Adamas

Yeah they have a new system considering Threat and such which might be interesting to add. I forget which one applies to something that can't actually be contained but is willingly allowing their containment.

DarthKeidran

@CrimsonQuill86 Thank you, that’s the plan. Once I finish a “Willow” interview, an incident log where a staff member gave her alcohol, and a “mother” interview set after researcher Tom’s demise, I’ll post the link to my draft on the subreddit for critiques. Once I’m past final draft, up on the SCPwiki it goes.

DarthKeidran

I ended up updating things. Researcher T did go out with a bang, but Willow kept him off the menu. I don't know. Check it out and give me your critiques.

Leif

I rate it 11/10, fantastic.

Blackjack

SCP SCP SCP SCP! Wait... what number would she be?

DarthKeidran

Had to be an unused number. Foundation wiki is asking it be a series 6 or earlier number until they are all used up. I took all openings [Access Denied], threw them into Numbers, and used a RAND equation to start whittling them down. I came up with SCP-5646. Also, check my comment above. I’d love any feedback I can get before the article goes live and the mother becomes an official SCP.

Travis9x

@DarthKeidran, I found some minor typos / grammatical errors, but otherwise all the content is amazing, and the various sections are contiguous with each other. I love it! Grammatical errors: The possessive of "it" is "its" (with no apostrophe). "it's" is the conjunction of "it is". Typos: Under Incident 5646-1-B, in the description of Willow leaving her escort toward the explosion, her "-3" designation is missing, saying "SCP-5646 bolted from it's escort towards the source of the detonation." I imagine Mother running away from Unit 1 would be an entire incident in itself. :D

DarthKeidran

@Travis9x Thank you kindly. I ran the article through a spelling and grammar check, so the handful of typos and grammar issues should be resolved. I also fixed that lack of designation in that section. Researcher Fishlegs when mother starts running from Unit 1: "That is a Keter Class! Keter Class!"

Travis9x

I think it's a given that this will eventually be colored. And when it does, we should see if Tom will allow the image to be attached to @DarthKeidran's SCP article/submission. 🖤

Lego Gamer

@DarthKeidran I wonder if you considered the, uh, 4th roommate of SCP-5646-3, and her, uh, rather unique abilities in terms of telepathy and transformation and incineration. One wonders wether she would simply remove dash 3 with no one the wiser, until they check the secure backups, or she would let her mischievous side run amok and leave quite the interesting problem for the foundation.

DarthKeidran

@Lego Gamer I didn’t think of trying to implement Nora. I think it would be cool to, but then I’ve got to figure out an excuse why the foundation doesn’t initially know about her. I can imagine Nora going “gender and/or species editor” on an extraction team. XD

Lego Gamer

@DarthKeidran My thought would be Nora coming to “rescue” Willow. Probably after quite a bit of prodding by Laura and Kat. Though she could also see it as a chance to screw with/troll the Foundation…. As for the Foundation not knowing about her, Nora has lived an awful long time in this timeline and probably picked up more than a few tricks in those hundreds/thousands of years. Perfect transformation is pretty dang useful when one is trying to avoid detection. Plus it is canonical that Nora has some freaky strong mental powers, and it is entirely possible that she could “adjust” the memories of the MTFs sent after her, thus leading to her being filed away as an unexplained event or some such thing. There are other SCPs that have reality/timeline warping powers, and considering that dragons only get stronger the older they get, it’s entirely possible that Nora’s mental abilities could lead to her being marked down as a hoax. Breaking Willow out of containment could very well blow her cover thanks to offsite backups, or at least lead to her file being reopened. The summary of my rambling being, the Foundation might already “know” about her, whilst at the same time not knowing that they “know” about her. Filed under unexplained events or hoax thanks to her mental powers.
