WHERE THE JAZZ TROMBONE AT! IT'S REQUIRED

Rook Prime

Nat's best role ever: Epic Sax Guy!

OnkelInferno

awesome Pic, looks great colored

OnkelInferno

also lovely Kat in Colour ♥️

Lord Chaos

Do they do requests?

Nakayama Festa

yeah, but they'll only play songs that let Flora go crazy on the drums

silver dragonia

what a beautiful dress kathrin wears and nice suits everyone else wears and i believe kathrin voice is angelic

AstroChaos

I remember an interview with Pete Townshend where he pointed out that unlike most rock bands (at the time at least) The Who relied on John Entwistle on bass to do all the coordination and time keeping instead of Keith Moon doing it from his from his drum set. Reason being was that it gave him a lot more room to flourish and improvise within and around a piece of music instead of having to carry the rest of the band through it. Which I can totally see being a similar case here, with Trace on the chello and Flora banging on the drums all day.

Kurtis Ryan

Really like Kat's hairstyle in this pic.

DiDiDi-X

I'm really lovin this now that's it's colored. And Kat's hair along with thay dress looks so wonderful.

Lord Chaos

Maybe some AC/DC? Gets to ring a bell too.

OnkelInferno

it suits her very well, doesnt it?

AlaricLives87

Flora tapping the chime: eh...eh...eh...eh... *IMPATIENCE TO ROCK INTENSIFIES* Flora on the drums: HYYYYAAAA!!!! RUH!!! RUH!!! RUH!! RUH!!! RUH!!! *the rest of the band jazzes out accordingly*

coredumperror

This winning the color vote does not surprise me at all. But it does please me greatly. ;)

Nitarius

What a nice show, although someone should have told Flora that they play jazz and not metal. Anyway, Kat looks stunning in that dress.

Harvey Danger Noodle

Flora looks like she’s having a blast and a half. She’s had a lot of fantastic expressions this month.

feralcat52

I love it! This is almost exactly what I had pictured in my mind when I suggested it, and Flora rocking out makes it perfect! Thanks to Tom for excellent art as always and to everyone who voted for color!

Cliff Warden

Definitely my favorite of this round of sketches.

CrimsonQuill086

Man, that band is looking dapper! 'Tis a magnificent piece!

Roughlandin

Flora: "An-i-mal! AN-I-MAL!" *Goes ham on the drums.* Great job, Tom! Love Kat's dress and how animated everyone's poses are. Congrats, FeralCats52!

Ordithus

Stellar work! This is a fun picture with a nice ambiance. Makes one want to watch and listen. Kat is just stunning in that dress!

KaiserDunk

I’m surprised Flora isn’t trying to pull off some dance moves worthy of the Nicholas Brothers.

RivCA

That's a double bass. The cello would maybe come to his sternum.

AstroChaos

It is isn't it? My bad. Still, you get my point I hope.

silver dragonia

i'd be happy to invite you and give us drinks to enjoy while listening to their work

Adamas

Remember, their first album "Neon Manacrystal Love" is available now at your local Mekkan music chop

ijuinkun

Also, a cello is played with a bow, while a double base can be played with fingers.

ijuinkun

Her playing the drums reminds me of Animal from The Muppets.

feralcat52

Thanks, Roughlandin! I always enjoy reading your short stories about the sketches.

feralcat52

Just a thought, Can anyone think of a good name for this band?

feralcat52

Since we already have the album title.

forcesinbalance

Well, "The Two Tones" is taken...perhaps "Mekkanical Swing"?

feralcat52

That would be a great one!

KaiserDunk

Cat’s Pajamas, perhaps?

Roughlandin

Kat Vaughan and the Wild Bunch

RivCA

Leave it to jazz to turn something like that on its head. Orchestras typically play with double bass being bowed, but I've seen cellos being plucked.
