i do wonder why one of the women isn't impressed with his fishing ability though i believe if he knew how to quickly catch loads of fish i bet she'd be impressed if i would catch fish with a spear i would have a medium sized leather pouch hanging from my shoulder and is near my hips so i can put the fish in with one hand easily i'd also slowly move from place to another to minimally disturb the fish to have a higher chance to catch many

i suppose we all should be happy with carver but i'd concentrate on fishing with my own spear and leather pouch to give to the girls for them to enjoy so i can trade in different meals as i don't like eating fish

The way I interpret this is that as arrogant as Carver was before, Clovis brought out the worst in him I’m sure. Being humbled and taught by them (and probably under threat of death) he finally woke up and learned how to be better and is at peace.

it's not intentional to be arrogant i just don't like fish becouse of family ate fish when i was kid freguently and they told me it's either eat what's on the table or go hungry to bed so i chose to go hungry to bed and i am sure by trading fish for meals i could get something else to eat even if it is oatmeal i prefer oatmal way more than fish
