Besides, not like we have many customers waiting for tables in the middle of the afternoon." Evs: "Meh... Whatever. Anyway, you keep an eye on our two love-pups. I'm gonna go throw out all the old pastries from this morning." Mike: "By 'throw out', you wouldn't happen to mean 'eat', right?" Evs: "Hey! They've gotta go, either way. What's the difference if a few (dozen) wind up in my stomach instead of the trash? It's the one thing that makes this job worth it!" Mike: "I thought you said getting to hang out with your best buddy every day was what made the job worth it." Evs: "...Okay, so it's stale pastry snacks, THEN hanging out with my best bud. A dog's gotta have priorities!" Mike: *Sigh.* "Well it's nice to know I'm on the list, at least."

Oh, come on. A real bro would at least keep some back for when his bud gets his break. Mike probably likes muffins and cinnamon rolls too, and it's a wonder what 15 seconds in the microwave and maybe a damp paper towel for light steaming can do.

Oh my goodness, seeing these two friends is adorable. Raine looks so beautiful in that flannel shirt, and Zen looks very happy and chatty! I'm sure they're having a nice time. It's always nice, being able to link up for tea or coffee with friends.
