Omg this is so fantastic

Nitarius

Mystic, dark and pretty. A great combination, as it seems.

KaiserDunk

She definitely fits the characterization of The Morrigan.

"T'was fadó, fadó when I ventured these mountains last. They say that they are her domain, her land...she who bears fate and woe, the harbinger of war.' "The legends say that she can choose what form she takes as she wishes. Some met her wrath at the hands of an old crone...others a murder of ravens. And some, a young woman, wreathed in shadow.' "When the armies venture to Ulster, they heed her call for war. And it is her crows who shall bear witness to the fruits of death. And should she offer you hospitality, do not refuse, for she has seen your fate many years hence, and can tear it down at a gesture.' "Her name is the Morrigan. And at her lámhaí (hands), she bears war and fate unto thee."

Sin é íontach ar fad! (It is absolutely lovely!) Thank you so much Tom, she truly has an ethereal and terrifying beauty. I wonder, were her father to meet her as this person, what her judgement would be...for the many mountains of Ulster have tales of those who never came back... Again, thank you. Céad Míle Failte romhat.

The Morrigan was the Irish goddess of war, death and fate. Like the Norse god Odin, she was associated with crows and ravens, both as her eyes across Ireland and as the heralds of death on the battlefield. She is most well known for her role in the Ulster cycle, and the death of the Irish hero Cú Chulainn (Setanta), who incurred her wrath and thus was weakened by her machinations. It is said that the crow that landed on him to signify his death was the Morrigan taking one of her many shapes. I believed that such an eerie mythical figure would be well-suited to the seer's daughter-her only sight being through the beasts she touches, her eerie beauty, and a sense of sorrow. I also think she deserves a little focus in the sketches here and there.

Awesome! Thanks Sir Quill!

A fae god that was famous for predicting one's death and took the form of a crow or a hag to warn one of their fate. She fell in love but ultimately was the cause of her lover's doom... Correction: an Irish goddess of Death, War, and Destiny.
