Wholesome orphanage, Kat being the sweetest caretaker to these kids is heartwarming to watch, maybe one day she can adopt her own kid and be the mother she wishes to be.

I am literally melting from the cuteness. The cold, rainy night makes the scene even cosier. Kat is the kind of person who can still somehow make even miserable situations brighter, and gain something positive out of them. Awesome job, Tom. Thank you very much.

This is absolutely charming! Not just Kat, who is looking lovely as always or the kids who are adorable, but the whole scene just looks so damn cozy! I do have to wonder though, given the candlestick for interior lighting and the distinctive gaslamp outside, where is this meant to be set? Is this an alternate normal TK main 'verse? An Old Town district of Modern TK's New Edinmire? Or is this the beginning of a third alternate world, Victorian TK?

maybe it is the victorian TK and you're right this scene is wholesome and i am sure kathrin is the kids favourite book reader as i see a tiger is or already has fallen asleep while a little cute wolfy kid pays attention to her maybe if i have my own post/package delivery service in any TK universe and i visit the orphanage for delivery or just checking up on the kids i could tell them the adventure i've been through and what i've seen recently so 2 kind of story tellers one reads from a book and the other tells what adventure they've been through even though it's just a simple package or mail i deliver

this is a lovely scene to watch and know kathrin does pure of her heart i'm sure i'd visit the place she visit for book reading every now and then for reasons like: checking on the kids to see how they are and to see if i can help the staff in any way possible also in mail delivery if i have started my own jogging mail delivery service i'd happily put the orphanages on a tab so they can pay over time in case they're low on funds for the sake of the kids i'd also happily tell different adventures i've been through with what i've seen who i met and what cities i've visited and what they're like and how they are

If my thoughts are correct magic lighting is a luxury for the rich in powerful. As the gard corders wer lit by candles not glow stones like The Legacy Estates. So this might be the same universe as the main story just a little bit further into the future. I can see kat splitting off after the events of the next few chapters. Love this one btw.
