I still remember that the first I saw of it was a few minutes of the episode where Raven and Starfire switch. I knew who the characters were at the time, if not a ton about them, so I wasn't too sure but it seemed like they were both kind of miscast. BUT... it still looked good and I didn't want to start in the middle of an episode so I turned it off, and set the DVR to start recording the series for me. ... Boy was I VERY confused when I finally started watching from the start, and now their voices were the opposite of what I remembered and seemed perfectly cast! I seriously questioned my sanity, wondering if I'd somehow gotten them confused in that little bit I'd watched originally even though they are easy to tell apart... till I finally reached that episode in my watching and it all suddenly made sense. 😁

To be fair, TT Go is a good show as well... but it's all kid friendly wacky hijinks in digestible chunks. The OG TT, on the other hand, could certainly also be lots of wacky hijinks... but that was balanced out with rich characters and deep, serious drama. At the same time, it wasn't trying to be Edgy McEdgelord either so it never felt like the drama was pretentious.
