Natani asks Keith why sometimes his eyes have white scleras, and other times none. Keith responds by clicking them on and off, suggested by Popular_Dollars!

Daud

It's cannon. Keith is part frog. Or maybe part Lizardman?

Wolfy Wolf

Funny how nat is just processing

Markvincible

Been a while since we’ve seen Keith with those eyes

Ordithus

Fascinating superpower Lights on lights off lights on

Linxan

Spooky! And a distinct non-answer. Good job, Keith!

Skeleton Man

high beam, low beam, high beam, low beam

Trenton Bushnell

Now the burning question I have is, can he switch them on independently to use as turn signals?

K_D Lawrence

"Look, look its for your special eyes" "My brand!"

Calvin-Skye

Anyone else reminded of 'The Twelve Tasks of Asterix'? 'You are a wild boar, a wild boar...' 'Can you light one up at a time?'

forcesinbalance

So, basitins have nictitating membranes? (Secondary, inner eyelids that can be closed over the eyes to protect them while still being able to see.)

NakedSunFlower

For me it would be like a good hypnosis) These blinking eyes are mesmerizing...👁👁👁👁

Major Matt Mason

EVIL SCIENTIST BOO EVIL SCIENTIST BOO EVIL SCIENTIST BOO

AstroChaos

What'll really bake Nat's noodle later... is when he takes his ears off!

Mefyu4649

it could be helpful to read books XD

RivCA

This might actually be the best reason as to why Keith can do this...

Phiraday

.... why do i hear a pull chain switch when watching this?

InTheLionsDen

Perhaps Natani notices the ears moving might also have something to do with it. They could grab Keith's ears and move them up and down to see if that also turns the eyes white or not, or perhaps have some other turning on effect on Keith.

Roughlandin

Shh... I think he's trying to say something in morse code.

Onyx Dragon 388

I like to think that switch activated night vision

Saberbeam

What, everyone else doesn't have these? 😯

Ferrous

I was thinking just this very thing.

Thisguy

“Keith has the oldest design of all the characters. He was originally from an earlier, unfinished comic project, and his simple eyes are a carry-over from the simpler art style of that time.” - The Art and Evolution of Twokinds Volume 1 by Thomas Fischbach

KaiserDunk

Maybe have a once in 50 repetitions or something that gives him something like goat or cats eyes.

silver dragonia

i do wonder if he can control it so he can tell someone something without saying a word? if the cast were in cyberpunk like future he could likely send messages via his eyes literally but they're not but i love the medieval part of what they're in

Brandon awesome

I love how his ears move when he blinks them on and off

eddi_TBH

Be you are old enough to remember using pull chains on basement lights?

eddi_TBH

Shhh. This is funnier.

Siku

That's very interesting that the simple eyes are a carry-over! I honestly thought it was just a visual gag similar to various other "chibi" reactions found in anime/manga, we've seen Flora quite a few of those as well.

Cirian

I always figured they just operated on the same principal as Laura's muzzle length: "I drew it that way back in the day, and now it's just a thing."

Phiraday

well i am old enough to remember having the job of replacing them when they broke. i did repairs on houses in my last job

Thisguy

I do recommend the art books if Tom offers them in another Kickstarter.

Thisguy

Pretty much, see my earlier comment.

Cecil475

Also, there are some times when his yellow eyes show more detail and some times they are blank like they are here.

Wild Space Saga

Needless to say, this would be downright creepy IRL.

eddi_TBH

Ah, memories...

Ed Corulli aka DragonAmongUs

Okay so get behind him, grab his ears, say "Right turn." and flip his right ear up and down while holding his left ear still.
