I'm sure Flora ribbed Trace for needing to wear heavy hiking boots for a hike,compared to her superior Tiger paws...only to get ribbed back for her tail twitching and twirling at every sound or sight of a bird or small animal in the forrest.

A nice backside can indeed add a lot even to an already spectacular view, it's true! I think Trace may be eyeballing that jerky at the moment, though. 😋

His technique needs some adjustment if he wants it to be a firm and steady hold. This looks to me like he is just beginning to consider reeling her in, hand over hand, until she falls squarely into his lap ... whereupon he can reach the jerky!

This just gave me a major nostalgia trip. Back when I was in the Boy Scouts, probably 25 years ago, I took a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. On the last day of the trip, our hike had taken us to the top of the mountain, and we could look out over the plains so far that the guide claimed you could see three different states at the same time. I haven't thought about that event in *years*, but this pic immediately brought back that memory.

Same here. Did it in 2013 and 2017. Was it Mount Phillips or Mount Baldy you went too? I went onto Mount Phillips my first trek. Returned a second time to do horseback riding. Thanks for the reminder. Good times.

Honestly, it's been so long, I don't remember. Though I associate the name "Mount Baldy" with a mountain near Los Angeles, rather than New Mexico. So it was probably Mount Philips.

i'd love to hike with these 2 and with natani and keith i'm sure natani wouldn't be as excited as flora here but atleast interested in the view and i would bring a camera with me so we would have a memory we can talk about plus taking other pictures so i can show the others how the view looks
