Zen and Natani, modern times, suggested by TomRedlion!

I apologize to any gun guys if you spot anything wrong. Spending so much time in a fantasy setting means I don't have much experience drawing modern stuff. Still, exploring new things is part of the fun of doing these sketch suggestions.

This was a post-stream drawing. Since we have a backlog of sketches, I decided to do some on my own time and post two a day until Sunday, so we'll be caught up for next week! :) Never thought I'd end up with TOO MANY sketches.

Its probably not a SVU rifle because you can’t see the gas tube for the piston and the barrel seems to be a free floating one.

I can tell they aren't true MLG because they aren't doing a 360 no scope; however, amazing sketch, and pretty awesome we get a bonus treat today.

I want you to know, I am a huge fan of your comic, your characters, and I adore your story and love watching your art improve on the updates. That being said, I am going to ..educate you on what is wrong with this picture from the stand point of a United States Marine. Please take it only as instruction, not mean spirited in the slightest. They're to exposed, they'd be easily spotted and counter sniped, or other wise dealt with. The rifle looks a bit to short, but for shortening is a bitch right? They would need to have something over them, bushes or such to block their head shapes. The Rifle is poking out of the hide, that gets you killed, Think of it like a window and a room, never poke your weapon through the window, always shoot from inside "the room" Nat would need a spotters scope to properly spot for Zen, Spotters scopes have a single scope with the same aiming recital as the sniper is using but beefed up to allow the spotter to tell the shooter where to adjust if the shot misses. Otherwise, Nat should have a rifle as well for a followup shot, not only if Zen misses, but getting shot twice at the same time ..or two targets getting hit at once, is a 'common' special forces tactic. Assassins would probs be like special forces. Zen is gonna smack the hell out of his face holding it that close to the rifle. Anthros would probably need Scopes with longer "Eye relief". In other words, face and eye not so close to scope for sight picture. Misses Nibs is totally gonna knife gank them for the 1337 hax0rz ski11z.

Awesome pic. Thanks for using my idea. Joshua Stewart hit all of the problems so.... As for the rifle itself, I've been military and firearms enthusiast for long enough that I can honestly say: "That rifle doesn't look like anything I'm familiar with." Since it isn't a specific model, there are no hack errors to nitpick. As for their gear, maybe that was all they could afford... As for their exposed position, maybe it's the only angle they had where they could get off a shot and still be able to make a clean exit afterward.

I know nothing about guns, but as long as the weapon serves it's intended purpose it doesn't really matter what it looks like.I mean, that's just my humble opinion 😉

Like I said, better a surplus than a deficit. I also think they wouldn't do well against Seal Team VI. ;0P Looks great, though.

You are right and wrong. First of all, their exposure is not important if enemy is unaware. For me, i would say they need an silencer, but maybe it's long distance, so i'll hold my complain there. Second - "The rifle looks a bit to short" Something like barrel shortening exists. It's not used very often tho. third and last, spotters scope is not required in sniper work, if you are veteran of curse. I assume that Zen and Nat are professionals, so they can do it without spotters scope. Oh, and you assumed that they are in SF - they can be also professional "pay-for-job" assassins, like those you would find on deep web. Dark, but probably as right as SF. About the rest -rifle poking out, sniper crossfire, holding gun too close - You are probably right. Also, love your work Tom! Please, keep it up and don't mind haters, if there's any!

Viper4k. Please don't argue with me, I am not wrong in anything I say. I didn't just say "From a US Marine" for funsies, I AM a Marine and this is all that I was taught, They HAVE a suppressor, They would STILL need to be hidden because ..hey..guess what, Even if the target is unaware, you don't want to have the slightest risk of being seen. Spotters Scopes are not "Required" but every sniper team has one, Even Veteran Special Forces Snipers use Spotter scopes. Thank you for your input, but it was all very wrong and uneducated.

Like your responses. I have some marine coworkers I'll have to run the pic by for their feedback well. As for the potential black eye. The end of the barrel looks semi reflective, almost like it's a futuristic (not yet existent) laser rifle, which I think would eliminate the concern. Otherwise, hopefully they have Star Wars cybernetic eyes to replace Zen's current one. XD

Okay, now that made me think about - if Assasin Brothers have their hands on riffles and modern weaponry, what kind of modern or sci-fi weaponry should have Trace to even his level of power to modern-futuristic time along with Nat and Zen? I know, I'm not authorised to make a request, but if someone's like that idea.. 9w9

And, again, you are making mistakes. I do know you are looking from marine's point of view, but trying to imply that i'm wrong there is just stupid. I am from poland, europe, and i know few things about weapons. Sure, things i say might not be used in marines, but it does not mean they're wrong or non-existing. Anbd i am not arguing, i'm just telling you about things you probably didn't know (because some of those things/techniques aren't even used by military. I'm speaking here about private security services and non-military assassins)
