I've never denied it, I think if someone is legitimately planning on harming Natani it won't end well for them. Some berzerker situations you've mentioned take it a bit far, but it's a rather sound theory.

I guess we'll see as the story progresses, but I'm wondering if Keith will force Clovis into a "he will join us or die" situation. After all, the threat of death didn't really discourage group A from allowing Natani to come along (or even continue to grow after Flora nearly went in to kill Trace).

That's a good idea. At the very least, Group A would be able to interrogate Clovis to find out the new Grand Templar's plan(s) and motive(s)...But I wouldn't let Clovis live for too long lest he gets an opportunity to fight back.
