To be honest due to how Tom has set this universe, trace never actually hurted her. Only yell or been cold, is not good either but is best so here he would be like : "You DARE to touch her? She is my apprentice, now you will learn what happens when you touch MY THINGS" Yeah, things, this is corrupted trace we are speaking of.

Trace stand menacing over the templar who beg to be spare by the mistake he had done, his body hurt all over after the grand templar used his magic on his prey. "Your mistake was to cross my way" as he rise a hand infused with dark magic the small fox standed between the two of them extending his arms. "You DARE to protect him?" He wasn't fool, he could see how she was trembling by standing there and even if he tried to deny, a small weight could be feel on his chest. "I-im not pr-protecting him....you prove your point it was my....my mistake for not watching my steps...he wont do it again, lets go back. Yes? I'll make you some tea master." Trace stare at her, there was fear yes but she was not protecting the idiot who hit her, she was protecting Trace from his own actions, the magic fade away as he turned around to walk back to his studio. "Fine, i could use some tea to pass the sour taste."
