A little doodle of Modern AU Laura. When I first came up with the character of Laura a long time ago I never imagined her as a nerdy gamer (for obvious reasons, considering Twokinds is a fantasy) but in the modern setting I have to admit it fits her surprisingly well.

It's interesting to consider the traits and mentalities that make for nerds, geeks and other modern personality concepts like that and then think back on if those only came into being in the modern age? Or did they always exist and just looked and moved differently in the distant past? In any case cool, adorable Laura is both cool and adorable 😁

I really like the pose and energy in the art piece. I also never imagined her as a gamer in the comic but I've been loving all of the sketches of her as a gamer and a streamer, haha. It's very fun.

As a lifelong console kiddie, I used to defend my own position by saying that the console always works. That really only applies to the Switch these days, as my PS5 is seemingly plagued by software glitches, even on AAA titles. You'd think the QA teams would have this locked up...

I won't fault people for capitalization these days, as having to hit shift for any change in letters is a slowdown. I also see "alot" as two words, typically (Hyperbole And a Half referenced at the end) but what Onyx appears to be referencing is your word order. I will admit that it bent my brain a little, as a native English speaker, but I also know English isn't your first language. (You admitted as much previously.) You should have typed out "play games with her" instead. I still got the meaning, though, as it didn't break the brain. Healthy human brains are able to make the corrections automatically when errors crop up. Well i got small amount of brain damage so sometimes my head just scramble up words from time to time like a broken record and i don't notice it Just imagine you suddenly felt goosebumps all around your body for no appearent reason your mind would be like: "Huh weird but whatever" and keep going like nothing happened

not a native speaker in english plus small brain damage which has hiccups every now and then with writting as an example: sometimes i think things out while i write then i just forget what i wrote and where i wrote then just send like i had little mishap writting this and that i didn't know about you so there's something new both of us learn about eachother right?
