Nora's profile likely takes the place of the Joker given her power, but that only helps if your hand is any good. From what I can tell, the best she has is a high pair. 11 would be the same power as a Jack as far as equivalencies are concerned.

There's quite a bit to unpack from this image, and I love it. Some of it has been addressed before, but I like to restate for at least my own benefit. If it helps others, you're welcome in advance! First off, Willow. Yeah, she may be cheating, but that only helps her figure out if the others are simply bluffing their way through any given hand or if they are actually holding something of value. Given her expression, it looks like she KNOWS she lost, given her own hand. Secondly, let's address that. She has 11, 8, N, 9, and 4. The 11 card equates to a Jack; it makes sense that there may not be a Jack equivalent in the TwoKinds universe, so having that as the highest number card and only having two face cards seems to make sense. The N can stand for Nora, and given her power, the card likely takes the place of our own Joker card. With only two to any sold deck, having those in your hand would be nice, IF you could make something of it. At best, Willow only has a high pair. We can assume that the cards' suits don't match, given that Tom only drew the 4 of Paws (4 of Clubs, for my headcanon.) Laura and Kat simply look smug because, while they know she may be cheating, that doesn't help if your luck is horrible. They can also likely read Willow like a book, so they know how to bet according to her reactions. Right now, they're simply being paid by the wisp to play each other. Laura is doing quite well, all things said. Laura's look especially has that "Welcome to MY world!" arrogance to it. Memo to self, don't play games of chance with that fox. I'm likely to lose my shirt, as Willow clearly is about to. Figuratively or literally, it makes no difference.

If it’s Nora, it could be the equivalent to a Queen, with maybe a Grand Templar being the King… But I suspect it’s a Nibbly card because you can see the squirrel tail tip at the top and the base of the tail at the bottom, in which case it *must* be the Joker…

Is it just me, or does Laura's especially coy smirk suggest that they anted up something particularly "special", something to make the game a bit more "interesting? Then again, it also looks like Kat might've gotten into the catnip flavor Chips Or Whatever.

Hey - , I've just noticed something: The first three cards are 11, 8 and N... in a normal pack of cards, the '11' is the Jack, so... Jack, 8, N Doesn't that sound quite like ''Jack it in''? As in, ''Give up'', since Kat is losing so badly?! (Plus, of course, she has a truly terrible hand - especially if the N card is the equivalent to an Ace!)

Are you sure about that? That may simply be smugness. Even world-class poker players look smug when they're well and truly ahead, and while Laura is cleaning house, it's likely that Kat's just glad she's where she is at this point.
