I love watching this show again and i agree with you. It's a bit different. I was very touched seeing the level of support and help between the trainees wanting each other to succeed... taking time from their own rehearsing to teach some of the struggling ones.

i just love this show so so so much. yes, some of the episodes are really long, but for me personally, they flew by because they're so fun. i've watched quite a few survival shows at this point, and i think this is the one where the trainees seemed the closest and most supportive of each other. i love that kind of atmosphere!

I love watching this with you again. The only thing what bothers me is the Signal Song test though. You can train and practice like hell but if you have a low toned voice or are a rapper you can't reach those higher notes easily. So I found it a bit unfair to degrade some of them, just because they couldn't sing something out of their comfort zone without their voices cracking.

Have you considered watching Roommates of Poongduck 304 and/or Kissable Lips? I love Jiwoong and Seobin together. Maybe you've seen one of their kissing scenes before. One clip went viral and had over 4 million views on Twitter. From the reactions I have seen from you so far, I could well imagine that you might like Seobin in particular.

This is like the 7th time I'm rewatching this show. I can't help but love the sense of warmth and support that the trainees in this show have for each other. It's really touching to see. I am really excited to see what you think when we get into the performances, there is some incredible talent on this show

if you think the show is gay now, just wait...ep 5 to 12 is basically a BL starring the two centers, sung hanbin and zhang hao (aka the wacking king and the violin prodigy). i'd very much recommend both of their predebut pre-deyassification dance videos as well, they're honestly iconic

I'm watching boys planet for the first time together with you and I'm having such a great time XD This is hilarious

I paused watching this series about half way through and planned to start from the beginning after all the episodes were out and we had the final line up because I love spoilers. Watching this with you is perfect ! You just have the best commentary so this feels like I'm watching it with a friend :D Btw here's a link to the longer version of the boys reacting to themselves in 1st episode. Funny stuff XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2S7k_fnsXQ

I don't think there's anything wrong with giving Takuto zero stars because the trainers try to put trainees in the level where they think they will improve the most. He is quite charming and that makes up for his lack of skill, but he does lack a good foundation and had he been put in a higher class he would have struggled there the same way Lee Da Eul did in the two star group. So really I think the issue there was giving Da Eul and Jun Seo two stars when 1) they really didn't deserve them so it was unfair to the others; and 2) being surrounded by people who are much better than you and not being able to keep up with them is horrible and losing those stars later is an absolute confidence killer. Honestly putting them in a lower class so they can rise is much more beneficial.

Lmao don't take Jongwoo's comment the wrong way! He's someone who's very comfortable with himself and has no trouble flirting around with everyone. When he said "it's all for show" and "there should be a character like me" he didn't mean it as in a role to play, he meant there should be someone with a personality like his on this show. He's made comments outside of the show to indicate that he supports the community, (of course has never said that he's part of it, but that's no one's business) but he's definitely not someone who mocks the community. I just wanted to clear that up! Translations can be a little misleading sometimes. Their little almost kiss was in good fun and kind of like a little teaser for their performance!
