The Orb of the Demon - Ayatee's Artifacts (Patreon)

A thick, dark cloud constantly swirls inside this crystal ball. A demonic face emerges from the cloud from time to time, only to disappear a moment later.

The unique crystal ball is about 6 inches in diameter. While touching it, you can cast the scrying spell (save DC 17) with it. While scrying with Orb of the Demon, you have truesight with a radius of 120 feet centered on the spell’s sensor, and you can communicate telepathically with creatures you can see within 30 feet of the spell’s sensor.

The False Images. The demon living in the crystal ball often changes the visions that are seen through the orb. When the user of the orb scries with it, there is a 50% chance that the demon inside the orb will manipulate the scene seen by the user as if it cast a major image. The truesight provided by the orb does not detect the effects created by this spell.

The Demon Unleashed. Breaking the Orb of the Demon releases the balor that is living inside. The demon has no allegiance to the user of the orb and will not take any orders from them - however, the act of freeing it may make communicating with the outsider easier.
