I'm with Jonny on Needles. Sorry, Alex.

lesstearmorequeer

Nah I agree with Johnny, always commit to the bit

DJ Badillo

I am enjoying this podcast, thank you!

JustYourAverageTom

I still wanna know how hard/fun it was to go from monotone robot voices, to slowly blending it to be like how they were read in archives, back to robotic voices. I loved that bit, very fun :)

DJ Badillo

My chunky, creativity soup from the Hungry Man Grill 😋

RedDedZombie

When did Bonzo crush a car? Is that a thing I missed?

Local_Lavender

I am enjoying this podcast, thank you✨️

DJ Badillo

I think in TMP 10: Saturday Night, after Gwen gives him the name in the envelope, after you hear him run out the door into the night you can hear a car being smashed and then its alarm start to go off. Also, following up on Jonny and Alex talking about inadvertent comedy in these series, right before this moment when Gwen frantically asks, "Can he READ?!" is such a primely comedic line. XD

"Live your sexy murder dream." - Alex 2025

Julia Diem

I am enjoying this podcast, thank you.

Mosey Walker

I am enjoying this podcast thank you

RedDedZombie

Wow, I just came for a QnA, and now I’m under a bus and Alex is memeing, what happened?

Mother of Ferrets

Please please please can you share Alex's notebook with us after Protocol finishes? Also would be really interested in seeing the prompts given to guest writers if that could be shared when it's no longer spoilering anything

Alatus Dusted Beast

I think im also with Jonny on Needles.. though, that means second favorite to Ink5oul to me. Amazing work as always- i could barely do my detail work I was laughing so hard!!

RedDedZombie

Would still rather eat a McWeevil than drink Huel :D

DJ Badillo

Neverrrrrr a McWeevil, plsssssss 😂😂😂

josh

Needles is forever

eleanor is fine

Everyone’s bi for authorial convenience 🏳️‍🌈 (TMP scripture) (because there is a bible)

Cyanmoon1

Jonny kept saying 'guest writers' but all my brain would process was 'gastritis'

Kristsune

I honestly marvel at the editors work every episode, both in vocal cuts and with sound design. it absolutely blows me away every single time its *so* good (that's not even counting the music, which is a whole other level)

KitCat3

I am enjoying this podcast, thank you (I say this from under the bus)

Pia K R

the The Sims approach

Ember, of the Starship Trinary

Seconding what others are saying, I definitely would read the 60 pages of alchemy magical system at some point when it is no longer a spoiler. I am that sort of nerd who loves magic systems (and designs their own). PS: I am enjoying this podcast, thank you!

Rose Bouch

Jonny wrote a great story for Outliers called "Strange Stars" about an alchemist. Loved that story- thanks Jonny!

We Talk of Dreams

I saw your username before I read the comment, and just knew you would have something super nice to say about the production team - thank you for your kind words Kristune 🙂

We Talk of Dreams

Vocal Cut editor here! So Alex and Jonny record the casements by themselves (no producers/directors supervising them) - problem is, they both get super into what they're reading that they forget to go back to robotic voice. Especially Jonny. Jonny is an incredible actor, and the way some of the casements have ended in S1 have been gory and whatnot, and Jonny has done a stellar and heavily emotional ending. Poor lad meant that I would then have to get pickups where he has to redo the endings with no emotion whatsoever and all robot

Mother of Ferrets

That's a special right there, original Jonny endings! 😄 Also thank you Nico (&all the editors) for the AWESOME job you're doing!

Please drop the alchemy system as part of an arg. I missed the first arg. This would be so sick

Fox 'n Fish Studio

Just so you know, pacing is perfect. While I prefer the slow burn of tma, I like the timing of tmp a great bit. Might also be because I’m listening week by week. With it being more dense lets me chew on it longer instead of my glutinous consumption that was of tma.

thomas

i am enjoying this podcast, thank you.

mari

Just got around to listening to this. I had forgotten that I actually cannot listen to these things with head phones as my raucous laughter unnerves everyone around me unless they can also hear the unhinged ramblings of Johnny and Alex.

Pippa

Making Diamond a St Bernard makes the case lean sooo much further into Nina territory 😭

Tama Connatser

This was delightful and brought me joy.

Trine Horsens

So I know TMA isn’t supposed to be funny but I just relistened to 120 and og Elias’ sass and eye jokes are definitely peek dark humor!

Catherine Rinella

Mastering editor here! We also do some sneaky sound design after the SFX/Soundscape/Music is drafted. But it's a secret, because it involves (3) sacrifices and (1) Gateway-branded keyboard from the 90s. And we're running out of keyboards.

Jenny Rii

With Alice question, everybody deserves a space to just exist in. I love that. And Needles was one I actually really liked. XD

Enno :3

who the fuck is mr blobby

Mistress Frieren

I'm continually impressed by how much thought this crew puts into their writing. They're so freaking good at it! Also love the idea of a fears Pokédex.

Mistress Frieren

He's an aggressively UK children's show character

Miss Vixen

I am on both the 'this pace is fine' and the 'i need more, please inject the entirety of all seasons, past and future, directly into my consciousness as soon as possible' trains of thought because while the pace works perfectly coming straight off another binge listen of TMA, i am also loving Protocol and want to know what happens and where the story goes. So yeah, i am enjoying this podcast, thank you very much for another amazing series to listen to and narrative world to get lost in.
