Tell us who you are and introduce us to your show.I'm Ross Bryant! I'm an actor, writer and improviser based in Los Angeles. People might know me from my work on Dropout.TV, The Improvised Shakespeare Company, Ain't Slayed Nobody, and The Glass Cannon Network, among other things. I'm the host and co-creator of the new show Push the Roll with Ross Bryant. It's a horror/comedy improv podcast where I take guest performers from the worlds of comedy, acting, podcasting and general nerdom through totally improvised adventures with the role-playing game Call of Cthulhu. Each adventure is inspired by a randomly-selected title submitted by our Patreon subscribers and created on the spot.

What got you into improv? How did that lead to TTRPGs and podcasts? What got me into improv was that it's fun! Next question. Ok. Short story long... I fell in love with the spontaneous group comedy of improv as a college student. I moved to Chicago to take classes with the legends of the artform and submerge myself in the vibrant comedy community.  After that, I was hooked for life. Friends from the comedy world invited me to play TTRPGs with them about 7 years ago. During the pandemic we began podcasting and streaming our games, which for me was a vital creative outlet when live performance was out of the question. Since then, I've come to love TTRPG podcasting as a unique mode of improv performance that really allows you to stretch out imaginatively and emotionally.

Without spoilers, what are you most proud of when it comes to Push the Roll with Ross Bryant? What do we have to look forward to in the series?I'm proud of the variety of stories we've been able to tell.  Ultimately they're all horror tales, but we've come at the horror in different ways with each uniquely-titled scenario. I'm also proud of the tone we foster. In any given episode of Push the Roll with Ross Bryant there are moments that are silly, funny and chaotic in the "friends having fun" way of an improv show. But in the same episode there will also be moments of truly eerie, atmospheric creepiness. Listeners can look forward to a show that is a weird, funny, uncanny ode to spontaneous creativity.
