Rurrie

Who wants to bet that's not the last of the phone?

Rurrie

would I be a better boyfriend for Jon? XD I clearly don't mind listening to all these horror stories, since.... that's what.... I'm doing currently. For fun. Maybe that makes us ALL aligned with the The Eye?

Isabelle

This episode was KILLER GOOD!!! Definitely needed all those content warnings, but the prose was outstanding... one of my favorite statements already. And that end!!!!!!! God its so ominous and I can’t wait to find out what’ll happen

Kitkat

Damn these episodes keep getting better and better!

xpityx

I love Martin <3

therese Amtrup

This season just keeps on getting better!!

Sindri Mjölnir

The line about the tea made me giggle. The bits of humour are very much needed! Love it! ❤️

LainyJP

Well, I tried to hold off listening because it's hard to wait a full week between episodes. I lasted 20 mins. 😂 Each episode seems to be better than the last! I didn't think that was possible

meowcury

thank you so much, that was amazing!

sAZAndorable

(I feel so bad for how much I chuckled in this ep actually.) (Although I did have a chilled wince at accidental current-situation echoes quite a few times.) (But the boys are still cute.)

belated

"martin, i hate your tea and wish you made coffee instead" jonny, how DARE you

Jared Clark Levin

Oh Intensity...the way it cuts to the heart of war, the blind, uncaring slaughter...great writing, amazing soundscaping...they’re not holding back and I’m here for it

E C Marlowe

That was amazing. I'm super curious about the ringing phone. And hoping that Jon doesn't actually hate Martin's tea!

Brian Taulbee

Holy shit, what an episode! Total War and Civilian Casualties were two of my favorite episodes, and this blew them out of the water (almost literally)!

Saphron

Absolutely incredible episode!

Hayley Phoenix

*rando phone rings* Martin: That seems like a bad idea Me: Yeah, you're probably right.... UNLESS???

MuddyHippy

This was incredible! The acting, the content and the soundscaping was phenomenal. It reminded me a little of a deeply, deeply morehorifying version of the Dr Who story the 'War Games', every war there ever was on earth, fought constantly to use the survivors as super soldiers. This takes that concept and dials it up to 17. Brilliant work guys!

Maya Peretz

i'm not even done with this episode and it's absolutely phenomenal in every way... the voice acting and soundscaping get impossibly better with each episode!!

Gilligan Mungus

If there is any kind of a god in this new world, Alex and Jonny will work together on all sorts of amazing projects for the rest of their lives. The two of you working together is like Elton John and Bernie Taupin. 👏💜🤞

JA Baldwin

.....I have no words to express how much I love this show. Anything I could say would be insignificant.

Rebecca Dupont

I cannot believe how much this season is leveling up with the fear, the visual-scape, the relationship between Martin and Jon and oh yes the sound editing, amazing.

A. Kamil

OUCH this was excellent... I’ll cling on to Martin’s humor for safety in this sad, sad world.

Sam Lueke

this is genuinely so incredible? i mean, it's horrifying of course, but just... wow. the writing and the voice acting and the soundscaping is fantastic. thank you guys so much for this, i absolutely love it.

james evelyn

The only thing that stresses me out more than Martin answering the phone is Martin NOT answering the phone

Shiv

I always love the writing, but I think this may be my favorite use of words so far

aubree

amazing episode! I was curious as to how you guys would keep the statement format going into s5, and this is incredible. it felt like the statement could go on forever, which... in the current state of the world, it probably will. thank you guys for the always stunning work

Rahlly

You know how well written it was and how the soundscape was perfect. Take your well deserved bows! The only thing else I can tell you is that between the cadence, imagery and the way the sounds hit, you made my heart cry.

romi רוֹמִי

Omg I had the same thought. I was like BUT WHAT IF IT'S SOMEONE TRYING TO HELP YOU, LIKE BASIRA???

TJ Hoffer

I'm loving the Eye of Sauron vibes with the Panopticon Tower. Really adds to the atmosphere.

Briar

Fantastic episode! I loved the imagery in this one, we haven't gotten a good gory Slaughter episode in ages 😍

tiassa

The line about taking out the heart and putting it in his wallet is going to stick with me for a while now, I think

Celadonleaf

I still can't get over all the raw energy this ep had! It was wonderful (and terrifying,) having a run in with a nice gory episode again. The visuals were incredibly descriptive and I could imagine every second!! This one will definitely be a fav

Robbie Lyons

Interesting episode! I love the journey concept, and think it's pretty funny how TMA looks a lot like Lord of the Rings at the moment. The tortured protagonist who has had an evil power thrust upon him. The loyal, sensitive companion. The blasted hellscape that seems to represent the worst possible world. The distant tower, centre of the great eye's dark power.

Mammon

Each episode is a masterpiece in fear.

Zorya Dolgushkin

This is just utterly beautiful writing *chef's kiss* Also, good on ya for setting those good boundaries, Martin! Like, I know it's hard Jon, but Martin's gotta stay strong for you and he can't do that if you keep infodumping all that fearful imagery onto him. I am on the edge of my seat each episode, the suspense is amazing!!

ledgem

I mean, yes, this was horrifying, but WHO WAS PHONE??
