As you may have been able to tell from the last chapter, I had to do a bit of light research into the Japanese police system and tweak it a bit for my needs. Here's my 'official for my universe' police org chart. If you think it looks complex, note that everything you would normally think of as 'police' is contained in 'Prefectural Police Organisations'

(1) establishing lines of swift cooperation with foreign security and intelligence agencies to stand ready for emergencies involving Japanese nationals, and
