A little longer than normal, the conversation got away from me.

And Then There Was None

> There wasn’t further help on Infuse Dose, but it did sound like something that could have been used here. I see that, like myself until moments ago, she doesn't know what Legerdemain means. One thing I'm now curious about. How do spies and similar professions avoid getting caught out by the lack of skills. In the real world a spy who needs to disguise themselves as a gardener for a couple of days can just learn to take care of plants. In this setting they'd be obvious by their lack of superhuman gardening skills. Do they rely on superhuman acting and deception skills to brush off this obvious proof?

It's an issue, but not a huge one. Because both the [Skills] and [Professions] are more general, there's a lot of overlap. For example, there's no [Wine Steward] profession, what you'd generally expect him to be is a [Servant]. (I did have [Maid], but I really shouldn't have had a gender-specific one there.) Also, a lot of menial tasks don't have skills. There is a [Cooking] skill but there's no [Cleaning] skill. Finally, the kind of skills that you pick up in professions like [Servant] are easily picked up with just a bit of effort. Just one of the reasons [Servant] is regarded as a poor [Profession].
