Content

Instagram has turned into a platform where traditional content from nude creators is becoming less and less welcome. Many know I’ve had six accounts before, and now I’m on my seventh, with some backups just in case. But Instagram’s policies are becoming increasingly cunning: they can simply exclude you from recommendations, rendering your account almost useless.

Another curious aspect is automatic complaints. You post your work, even with censorship, during prime time when the reach is supposed to peak. Everything is calculated: the text is perfectly optimized for the algorithms to land in recommendations. But instead of the expected outcome, you receive a notification: “We’ve removed your post or story because it violates our guidelines.”

You file an appeal, explaining it’s a mistake. Hours later, they respond: “Sorry, we’ve restored your post; it was indeed our error.” But by that time, it’s all gone. The reach? The views? They’ve vanished into thin air.

Is there an alternative? Yes, there are many platforms out there, but for nude photographers and models, Instagram remains an irreplaceable tool. Unfortunately, this tool is becoming increasingly challenging and temperamental, turning creativity into a constant battle with algorithms and rules that often seem utterly absurd.

P.S. This is a photo that was once also banned on Instagram.
