Let’s be honest, who thinks that being a model is just about looking beautiful in front of the camera? Guess what? Preparation is like a Tinder date: you never know how it will end, and you might need to run.

No sleeping face down on your pillow

You wake up with a stunning imprint of your bedsheets—or worse, your bra, which your lover ripped off during last night’s meeting. Makeup won’t cover that, and the photographer will ask, “Did you come here to sleep or to shoot?”

Don’t forget your pedicure

Beautiful bare feet look great in the frame. But if the photographer sees your bitten nails, they’ll silently retouch them (hopefully without complaining later) and remind you about it for the next couple of shoots.

Don’t forget your manicure

You skipped the manicure because you couldn’t be bothered and went shopping for fancy lingerie instead. Then you spent the evening binge-watching a heartbreaking series and, of course, didn’t bother to fix them. And now, the photographer will see it and curse you while retouching your hands instead of focusing on the photo. You’ll probably get your pictures in six months, at best.

Avoid wearing tight lingerie

Tight elastics leave marks that look like you were tied up just before the shoot. Not the effect you were hoping for, right? If you have a high-fashion photographer and they’re picky (like me, 🙂), they’ll retouch everything, remove all the marks, and even clear up your pimples :) — that’s okay. But if it’s an art photographer (or worse, a film photographer), they won’t even consider retouching. And the whole world will see your photos with marks left by your favorite kitty-print panties.

Small details like these, girls, and the shoot is already ruined. The photographer is annoyed. Everything needs to be on point—no excuses like “Oops, I wasn’t ready,” “Oops, it’s that time of the month, and everything is driving me crazy,” or “Oops, I feel like popping some champagne.” You agreed to the shoot five days ago, so be a professional and get yourself together.

Did you think it was easy? It’s all about the details! The camera sees everything, and you can’t fool it. Every photo is not just beauty—it’s the result of your preparation. And the model in this story? She’s not just the protagonist; she’s a true queen. 😉📾
