While I am blocked on patreon - I will share exclusives

My new videographer is shooting on an iphone 14 pro. And I was wondering what is the quality of these photos? Let me put it this way - decent quality.

You won't see these photos anywhere else, they are unprocessed. I will show these works with retouching in a week. Compare the quality then :)

Nothing wrong with cell phone pictures. They often have a higher dynamic range than many SLR cameras. When I shot film years ago I used to use grey grads to balance light and shade. There are better algorithms now in digital cameras. I don’t have any experience with studio lighting but I follow a couple of photographers who get the lighting right outdoors. Regarding cell phone photos, I have made 11x14 inkjet prints from them, surprisingly good resolution.

I'm not arguing :) i specifically bought a google pixel 7 pro to do backstages. And shooting on a phone not in a studio - you can get great results. But I often shoot in difficult conditions and with difficult light - the phone is not suitable here

True of course and I would rather use a camera than a cellphone. I tend to buy too many cameras and lenses which I think are required but aren’t. My current obsession is with macro lenses, preferably 100mm focal length since they sometimes make good portrait lenses. I like shooting pictures of flowers bugs with a shallow depth of field. Sometimes the blurred background is as interesting as the items in focus. I would never make it as a professional photographer however. Keep up the good work. You never did answer my question about purchasing your images. I know, or think I do, that you have a site on Deviant website but it’s hard to access in its entirety. It seems with that organization that paying for a subscription is not enough because that is followed by a big price for each image.
