Pat seems genuinely interested in ancient human history! Super fascinating, but I think we have to erase this idea from our minds that ancient people could not cross the oceans. We have this idea about boat technology that it came very late in our evolution but I think we’re selling our ancestors short. The oceans are our waterways and have been for probably hundreds of thousands of years. It’s totally plausible to believe ancient humans 130,000 years ago came to North America by boat, maybe not in large numbers but rather small communities or hunting parties. Cool topic 🤙
