They're lovers but they're still brother and sister. They're the only family they have left. No matter how many times they argue or fight, they love each other very much. It's how relationships work.

Looks like things sure aren't going well for Lynncoln. I mean, I have to admit, this feels like Chapter 4 & 5 all over again. I just hope things turned out ok for them, because I have a ding-dang feeling these two might need some help or something. And hopefully, they might bump into some familiar faces too. As far as I'm concerned, Lincoln and Lynn could really use some closure. Hope the next page brightens up for them. In the meantime... Two or three pages ago, the picture Lincoln and Lynn painted for the outside world is a relationship that is strong and loving and supportive. But sealed away in their apartment, there are a couple of cracks in the foundation. Nothing too threatening, but it's nothing that can't be fixed with a little time and consideration. Obviously, their relationship is still loving and caring, but you have moments like this where these fights over minutia bring out the stubbornness in both Lincoln and Lynn. Neither one wants to back down, but neither one wants to keep fighting. It's apparent in the last panel that they want to make up with each other. While some aspects of Lincoln and Lynn's past lives carried over into this new dynamic, other aspects didn't. And without their other siblings to lean on or vent to, now Lincoln and Lynn must make their own healthy methods of communication so that negativity won't fester into something that can't be undone. But admittedly, even in their angry states, it's still cute to see them eating dinner together on the couch like this. Another wonderful page as always, Hero!

Yeah, that's the thing about love and relationships. You gotta learn to love through the pain, the fights, and the frustration. Yeah, there's times where you're going to be pissed at each other, but after enough time, that anger fades away. You know what the weird thing is? A lot of successful relationships are the ones from older generations. I read an article about a study that a lot of newer generation relationships don't work and that there is a rise in divorce rates. I guess back then, when times were simpler, people knew what they wanted in another person. Nowadays, everything is more complicated.

There will be happier days ahead for them but it’s good to see the actual depths of their frustrations with each other. Even though I’ve never had a relationship, I at least know there is some give and take. Even then couples will inevitably have flare ups like this. It doesn’t mean they love each other less. I mean everyone has something they will never change no matter how long or for who. Part of a relationship is being able to see past the things that may annoy you from time to time and accept that the things you do like about them outweighs those few negatives. You shouldn’t change someone just so you have complete compatibility, friction is what keeps a relationship fresh and interesting.

Yeah, it makes it harder for them to deal with everything when they can't quite take "a little break" from each other, if that makes sense.

Exactly; they can't change each other, they're who they are and that's who they fell in love with, and that means they still have those sibling fights and all the bickering they grew up with. It still happens, but now they're lovers and they left their family and friends behind for each other. It adds a bunch of layers and makes it a bit more awkward lol

Of course. They hate fighting, they're afraid it might break what they have. But deep down they know that won't happen, and they just need a little bit of time to get over it.

I think they know just how much work they've put into this relationship, so they know there's something deeper that matters a lot more than any petty fight over who did the dishes last or who's turn is it to cook dinner.

Like I said to someone else, they know these little fights are pretty much over nothing. Sure, it gets annoying if the other person doesn't do the laundry or if they forget it's their turn to cook dinner. But they know more than anyone just how much they've sacrificed and have given up for this love. They're not just gonna let some petty fight like this get in the way of a relationships. They just need to get over their stubborness, as you point out.

I really think there needs to be classes on relationships. Not marriage counseling. I mean full on class on relationships so people can know how a relationship is supposed to work. Because people, especially women, they expect you to know things when you don’t and that’s one of the reasons why some relationships fail.

There's a BIT of truth to that, but the sad truth is leaving just wasn't an option for most common women. Coming out as gay (or simply just living a life that was best for you!) wasn't an option either for anyone who was queer, so…not very good times

It's sad. Even though they're mad at each other here, deep down they still love and care about each other. And they would be devestated and heartbroken if anything bad happened to the other. They're ghostly silhouettes show that.

Even though Lincoln is mad at Lynn at this moment he still loves her, which is why he doesn't respond when she shoves him out of the way. His love for her is bigger than his anger.
