It's not the same without their family. They miss their sisters and parents very much but they couldn't accept their relationship. It was for the best that they leave them. It will take them a very long time to move on from their decision.

( Getting My Head Out Of The Sand ) ( Excited ) Oh boy, a new page for the comic... Can't wait to see how this one plays out. ( 1 Minute Later ) Aaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww, that is so sweet, Lincoln and Lynn hugged and apologized for their fumble. But alas, it would appear these two are having a bit of a struggle, especially when it comes to finding a gift for the holiday. And to make things even sadder for them, looks like the idea of Christmas is bringing them back some memories of their past. I sure hope things will turn out okay for the two lovebirds and hopefully they might find what they want for this Christmas, in their world I mean. Because I have a feeling that if they want to put their past behind them, they'll have to face it too. Gotta admit, Underrated Hero, this page definitely gets 15/10 Stars. Sadly, even with all the freedom and breathing room Lincoln and Lynn have achieved to get to this point, it can still be very lonely at the top sometimes. What used to be joyful and momentous occasions during the holidays and birthdays with their family are now spent in isolation with only each for company. Not that that's an entirely bad thing here and there, but it weighs heavily on Lincoln and Lynn. The ghostly presence of Lucy I'm sure conveys that yearning for family Lincoln and Lynn feel as time goes on. But as everybody in the family made their choice, I'm sure Rita, Lynn Sr. and the rest of the siblings are probably in the same boat, as well, and not having the best holiday either.

Funny enough, for me, not spending christmas or anything at all with my family is much more of a blessing than anything else. I could never relate to being homesick. It's not as fancy as a fully prepared holiday, but it's much, much more peaceful, it's alluring. But i do admit i deeply envy those with families who aren't narcissistic ghouls in human form, vile, obnoxious shadows of masqueraded normalcy, love and empathy. I love you all, folks.
