Open up your inventory and make space for this new TGB Insider video. We're looking at the latest indie survival horror game Conscript; classic survival horror with WW1 twist.

Have you guys gotten to this one yet? What did you think?

I know I mention Crow Country in this video despite not having done an Insider on it. Maybe I'll do that when I have some time even if I've already spoiled here that I think it's very good.

Perhaps though you'd like some non-horror games on Insider for a change though...

I'm in the middle of my first playthrough. I really like the ability to buy ink ribbons, by combing it with a resource that does not take inventory space and is a reward for exploration it creates a better way of obtaining ink ribbons than just having 2 of them laying near a typing machine like it's often in RE series. Sadly pacing is a bit bad, especially when playing as a real gamer on limited safes. Very visible in chapter 3 where game opens 2 big areas with trenching tools but you are not really sure where to go. I had to find a podcast to listen to while playing it. As you mentioned running trivializes the game a bit but I think it's because of combining it with a reset of enemy placement on a location change. I'm all for rats resetting but humans as sentient beings should just wait before doors.

But they sure did nail the sensation of shoveling someone. I love how controller vibrates, screen gets hazy, like a chill going down our spine. From memories of veterans it's a revolting sensation.
