Hey guys, I've been away for the week so sorry I didn't post this here when it came out.

The Ninja Gaiden video really took it out of me, making such a long in-depth video on 3 versions of a game is a real drainer. Thankfully this Evil Within 2 video was a real fun project to mess around with and get cheeky on, I hope you enjoyed.

Comments are split down the middle here, some people love 2 and hate 1 and others love 1 and hate 2. Honestly I wish I had played the game the Evil Within 1 lovers claim to have, because I don't see at all what some see in it.

That said, thankfully I didn't see any comments defending Silent Hill: Downpour...

As someone who absolutely loves the first TEW, I noticed how you never talked about the combat options (a lot of them removed in the sequel). Which doesn't mean you didn't notice them, but it still makes me think it's why you didn't really enjoy the first game a lot. The match system gives you a lot more options in the fights. Shoot the enemy in the leg and drop a match on them (encouraged by headshots not killing enemies unless it's a critical shot). You can stand near a corpse, wait for another enemy and kill both with one drop. Or use the electric bolts to trap a bunch of enemies in a tight spot and set half a dozen of them on fire at the same point. There is nothing like this in the sequel. They just removed it. Same with the traps. They could be used against enemies and gave you precious resources to make new bolts on the fly, so you had to make choices and playing carefully nets you more bolts. Unlike the sequel, you also only need the one resrouce (weapon parts), which grants you much greater flexibility during fights. Most people also didn't notice the red sparks around traps, helping you to spot them. The sequel just removes them. There is also little stuff like the shotgun ALWAYS putting down standard enemies on the ground. Great way to fight fat ones. In the sequel, it's not certain this happens, which makes the usage of the shotgun less tactical. And besides the combat, 90% of the environments are just boring American town or grey concrete areas. How anyone finds this even remotely disturbing after the destroyed city of the first game, I will never understand. All the visual flair is gone. Instead of different effect layers creating a dense atmosphere, the sequel has a clean, plastic look to everything. Especially Sebastian. I really want more people to enjoy The Evil Within and it's frustraiting to me that the sequels gets all the praise, when it's just a watered down normie version of the first one.
