Jak X(cellent) (Patreon)

BA BA BOOM! It's Jak X time. 

I planned on doing this video at the start of the month but I hit a wall with all the game's various technical issues on ps2 slim, so I took a break to record the 6 games I need for my upcoming retrospective. A couple of weeks ago I decided to just buckle down and record the game in one sitting, and even then, I still had loads of fun.

Jak X is honestly a PS2 classic, overshadowed by being an addendum to a big trilogy in a different genre. Right now, I want to play it again, but it would mean starting from the beginning! The fact I want to buy a fat PS2 again just to play it, when the review is already done, shows how much I like Jak X. I've heard apparently the PS4 port does have glitches like the PS4 Jak Trilogy ports so if you wanna play, I guess it's fat PS2 all the way! 

The only issue I have with this video is how the mario kart comparison got away from me. Initially it was just gonna be a quick mention, "oh, I like the item system in Jak X more than question mark blocks"; but then, I ended up feeling like I had to address more angles of that comparison to make my stance more air tight. I think that segment ends up a bit drawn out as a result.

Now though the Naughty Dog Jak games are fully covered on TGBS, until next time Naughty Dog, maybe one day we'll get to do more. Ball's in your court, ND.
