The release of the RE3make really got me thinking about the current state of games development. Its no secret that Nemesis was developed in about a year and this game's development cycle isnt too far behind (I know they said three years but that seems kinda bollocks). Yet I can't help but wonder what this game would be like without the focus on presentation that these remakes have. Meticulously modelling every asset strewn about Racoon City must surely have taken away resources better spent on an improved Nemesis or campaign. Ah well, some parts were fun, regrettably there was no kickass lyrical track for the end credits.
