Video Production Update January 26th 2021 (Patreon)

Hi everybody, sorry I've been quiet on here lately. I spent some time this month dumping around 50 hours into Cyberpunk 2077. I'll send a few thoughts on it your way in the next TGB Insider Review; hopefully sometime in the coming weeks.

I've also been at work on the Ninja Gaiden 3 Review:

It's looking like another 40 minute video. It's almost there now, I just have a series of tweaks I want to make here and there.

The editing is nearly done but I'm already dreading the clean up and polishing on this one. Keep in mind, we're looking at the Vanilla release and Razor's Edge. NG3 is also the Ninja Gaiden game with the most story to cover so there was a lot to analyse there too. I did a lot of research and experimenting in the footage capturing stage, which hopefully will help, but reviews that feature both heavy mechanical analysis as well as narrative analysis tend to be a nightmare to polish up. I appreciate your patience as a I try to get it right.

Your support here on Patreon will also be of great help to this video since, with the level of violence present in Razor's Edge, I doubt I'll be getting much in the way of monetisation on this video. I considered censoring some of the graphic violence early on but while editing footage it became clear that would, aside from being very time consuming, compromise the video severely. To not accurately present what's on screen could in this case, hurt in conveying some of the points I make about the game. Once again this sort of video is only possible because of you all.

As is tradition for these updates I'll post where we're at on the checklist. I was excited to post this again since getting Ratchet 2 done but then less so when I remembered I was naïve enough to attach prospective dates to the upcoming videos on here. Remind me not to do that again.

Jokes aside, with NG3 nearing the final stages and the Ascension video script already written we could be worse off than 1 month behind. After Ninja Gaiden 3 goes up I'll be posting the poll for the next 4 videos for 5 dollar backers. That way I'll know exactly what I'll be going into after Ascension is released.

During these tough times I feel very grateful to have you backing me as I continue to work on this stuff. My goal is to return you investment with high quality, informative, insightful and hopefully unique looks at games. I hope you're all doing alright and I'll catch you soon.
