Video Production Update February 23rd 2021 (Patreon)

Hey everybody, this is just gonna be a quick update explaining where the latest video is at. So at the end of last month I posted an update with an almost finished edit of the Ninja Gaiden 3 Review, so question is, where is it and what happened to it?

So for the average video it can take me about a week to go over the edit again, polish it up and double check a few things to be as close to 100% sure as I can be about the information I've provided.

Ninja Gaiden 3 and its update Razor's Edge are weeeird games though and as I've gone back into the games to double check my facts I've descended down a series of additional weird rabbit holes. Mechanically they're really all over the place and it's been a real challenge to untangle some of the design here, more so than usual.

The video has now grown from 37 minutes to 43, putting it ahead of Ratchet 2's length now. I'm sorry for the extra delay on this but the extra time has made for a much more comprehensive video. I think once you see the video for yourselves you'll understand why these are some confusing games from a design perspective.

I've been wanting to make some TGB Insiders too but there seems to be so few new games coming out that I'm interested in until Resi 8 and Ghostwire. We've got Deathloop? The new Ghost n' Goblins maybe?

Earlier this months I also did some clean up on the Patreon. I reorganised the tags so now at the top of the "Posts" page you can easily sort through all past content via the tag list. I like to think of the Patreon as the real true home of TGBS. Even if the videos are hosted on Youtube, this is where you get to see all the extra content and receive comprehensive updates. After reorganising the tags now this "hub" is a little easier to navigate.
