Video Production Update January 31st 2022 (Patreon)
Content
Hi everybody, time for the first Production Update of 2022.
So let's take a look at where we're at:

Before Metroid Prime 2 was completed we had already ticked off all the Insiders from this roadmap. To add to this line-up I recently did an insider on Halo Infinite, which you can watch here if you're an Insider level backer.
The Resident Evil 0 video is progressing well. I nearly have all the footage I need. Unfortunately when it comes to Road to the Rocket Launcher the goalpost for what constitutes "I need" tends to move further and further away as I tackle more playthroughs to mess around and experiment as much as possible with the game. The hardest part of making an RttRL is deciding at what point I say enough, and stop replaying to make the video with what I have in terms of both footage and knowledge of the game.
Resident Evil 0 is also just such a fascinating take on the Resident Evil formula, I feel like there's so much to say when it comes to how its design choices affect the experience. There's a lot of tweaks made to the formula here that form the building blocks of what is a pretty unique Resident Evil experience, and keeping track of all those many blocks in the script is proving a challenge.

For the sake of getting progressive scan footage rather than interlaced, like with the Resident Evil Remake video, I've been playing Resident Evil 0 via the Wii Archives port on a Nintendo Wii.
As you probably know, this is the final Resident Evil game to feature the classic fixed camera style, so it's a bit of an end of an era for Road to the Rocket Launcher.
I've been trying to find ways to further improve my workflow, which is something even people generous enough to support me here probably don't want to read about on an update post.
Mixing up ways to be more productive is something I find weirdly enjoyable though, it feels good to see your output improve by implementing proactive changes to how your approach your work.
At the moment I think my current flow really helped get the Metroid Prime 2 video out fairly quick.
Right now I feel like I have a pretty good balance when it comes to getting in my workouts, working on videos for both the channel and Patreon and playing new stuff via my Twitch stream, which I'm trying to go live on more consistently. Lately we've been playing the RareWare Platformers. If you're interested, you can see me tackle those here.
For now I don't have much else to report, Resi 0 is a go, SH3 will follow after and if all goes well I'll have some extra content here for backers too in February.
In terms of new games what are you all planning on playing in February? The new Pokemon? Elden Ring? Horizon 2?
A new Dino Crisis 2 Backlog with Brit was also posted recently here. We should be wrapping that up soon I think and once we have we'll hold a vote on what the next Patreon only playthrough should be.
Anyway I'll catch you back here soon! Hope 2022 has started off well for everyone.
