Hey everybody.

Sorry it's been a while since the last production update. After completing The Silent Hill 3 Analysis I took a break and then went hard on a few smaller videos. This month I've been dealing with a few personal issues but have still been making headway on upcoming projects.

Before that though, let's send off the last block of videos with a ceremonial completed roadmap.

Looks good! ... *deep breath*. Hmmmm, let's take a moment to appreciate the satisfying feeling of a completed checklist...

With that out of the way let's move on to the next one:

I've begun work on Resident Evil 4, recently recording a methodical playthrough:

I honestly forgot how long RE4 is. Taking my time, playing fairly well and having beaten it multiple times throughout the years and I still got 16 hours of footage on this latest run. Safe to say the flowcharts won't take much time to make for this Road to the Rocket Launcher so I guess I'll get my time back.

I have a few other shorter videos in mind. One that I think I can do quickly this month alongside Resi 4 and another that's gonna take some considerable time considering how short the video will probably be.

Going forward I plan on doing some more shorter videos alongside the longer stuff. A lot of times in the last couple of years I've thought of interesting topics that would only work in short-form but put them to the side to focus on the longer stuff. I think we're at the point now where I can mix and match a bit though, now that we've made a lot of headway with multiple longform video series.

Of course it's nice to be able to get some stuff out more frequently but the last thing I want to do is pump out any old quick guff to keep the channel popping off.

In a way a shorter video can be more daunting to me than a longer video. In longform you're making so many points that even if a couple end up coming out as not that interesting to some viewers at least the vid is packed full of all kinds of takes to offset that. A shorter video really relies on one or two points to really land to be enjoyable and it can be a bit nerve-wracking to release something standalone that hinges on just a couple of points. Shorter stuff used to be my bread and butter though so perhaps I'm just a little out of practice.

Either way, I enjoyed the ones I made last month and plan on doing more.

A new Back from the Dead is in the works and I like to keep the subject matter under wraps with these. Mainly because I feel like the fun of that series is going into the video with no prior knowledge and being surprised by what crazy events transpire in some forgotten game.

For Backlog with Brit I want to finish our playthrough of Dino Crisis 2 but err... I accidently through some tinkering and blundering deleted my save file. So I will get it done but it might take a minute.

After the last few intense months I've finally started playing some modern games again. I've started GhostWire: Tokyo; I haven't gotten far enough to have an opinion yet but I hope it lives up to how much I enjoyed Evil Within 2. GhostWire will probably be my next Insider video once I beat it.

Anyway I have a lot on my plate, so I'll get back to it, catch you in a bit!

Chain of Memories was my first Kingdom Hearts game since I didn't own a sony console for a long while. It didn't exactly endear the franchise to me, the story just kinda felt like they told me a GBA version of what (I figured) happened in the first game with some memory shenanigans to justify it. I got stuck on like the Monstro stage so I hope that was some super hard shit and not an easy stage lol.

I've enjoyed all the videos you've put out in this batch, I think the work you put in comes through clearly. Not all of it's relatable to me, but I still think they're interesting to watch and look forward to the next one, and I think it's a good idea to put out a short one inbetween the long stuff if you have a good idea. The only criticism I feel like I can give is I think you've started talking pretty slowly in some videos. Maybe this is my mind playing tricks, but I feel like the tempo used to be a little snappier, at least in some videos, and I think that helps a lot with making a long video feel like it's not so long. On a different note you're really moving in on B-Mask's turf with first Crash and now Sly, lol. I thought we were done with the scrimblo bimblo games!
