Video Production Update March 1st 2023 (The Nothing Goes According to Plan Month) (Patreon)

Hey everybody, how's it going?

This month nothing I had planned went according to plan.

First off, I had a new TGB Insider planned. It was gonna be Hi-Fi Rush but I decided I had enough to say to turn it into a longer main channel video. It seemed like the sort of thing the subscribers at large would like to hear about.

Might do the next Insider on Dead Space Remake instead when I finish it. We'll see how that goes.

I also spent the last 2 weeks working on a video that I don't think I'm gonna release.

The subject matter was an obscure very dark game with very dark subject matter.

I pushed through and made the video but it wasn't like it was some kind of great game that begged to be talked about that just had some touchy subjects in it; it was a weak game which to talk about required touching on some real nasty stuff.

Even though I had some interesting things to say about the game, in the end I don't think it warranted giving the title a signal boost on my channel, nor do I feel like I have the right type of channel really to be talking about some of the game's subject matter. I had to take a step back, because as much as I wanted to push through and be the critic who can cover any game they set their mind to, I realised I didn't sign up to be a game reviewer as my job to have to talk about some of this game's content.

Maybe you'll see the video here on Patreon one day, but I can't say for sure.

Ironically I then pivoted to making the Super Farm video, which some might argue was quite disturbing in its own right. Something quick, to make up for the 2 weeks of wasted work.

I also posted a new Backlog with Brit on Rising Zan; an action game for the PS1 I've been asked about for years. You can watch it here.

Just because it's about a Japan-obsessed wannabe cowboy who wields both a sword and gun you'd think I'd be interested??  You think that's all it takes to impress me, hmmm?

But yes, I will start a Backlog with Brit on Dino Crisis 3 soon, sorry for the delay on that one.

As for the Chain of Memories video, it's still a ways off. It's a game a care about a lot so I want to do it justice, and hope to deliver one of the best videos ever done on it.

Expect some more filler videos in the interim and probably some content on Resi 4 Remake, given that it's out this month.

I'll catch you back here soon!
