Hey, this is something I've been working on lately, I sometimes post "tests" but don't explain what I'm actually testing.

3D works perspective only compared to 2D and that is a huge limitation if you want something to look flat and that is one of the reasons I didn't want to use my Fern model...

Thankfully the nightmare fuel department has come with a good alternative to remove the perspective on certain parts of a 3D model so the proportions remain in "2D"!.

I need Tharja to bounce on it crazy style. Very cool stuff being more serious

The new "2D" visuals look awesome! I do wonder, why the eyebrows clip on Frieren's model tho. Anyhow, I am very excited to see what new animations you going to cook in the future!

Tharja, reverse cowgirl!

Andak

Glad an alternative was found to make things easier! Would love to see Tharja animated like this, too. Looks great even as just a test.

I make the eyebrows have a very short clip distance so that they are visible only through the front hair, but since the head has been flattened, that clip distance covers the entire head now. Is easily fixable but I forgot 😅

So that's what it is. Now I know a little more. Thank you for explaining.

Will you ever do more awakening chars if time allows it?

I may not fully understand but it looks cool, since you mentioned the 3D only works perspective compared to 2D was one of the reasons you didn’t want to use your Fern model hopefully we get to see her more now

MoonStar

That's pretty impressive, hope this means we're gettin a more complete version of this Tharja animation at some point, or just more of her in general

Spaamdude

That's so cool! Glad you found a workaround! I also really love the rough frames here (this goes for your first Anna animation too). It's captivating. :)

I do love the Tharja test! Though the slower framerate does throw me off a lot.
