(Flower Magic) Dawn/Dusk Bloom (Patreon)

Hello friends! Here's today's second early access brew. A teaser for the flower/butterfly theme spells to come. Enjoy 🌸

-----------

Dawn/Dusk Bloom

1st-level transmutation (Ritual)(Bard, Druid, Sorcerer, Warlock)

Casting Time: 1 minute

Range: Touch

Components: S, M (a single seed and 5 gp of primordial dust*, which the spell consumes)

Duration: 1 hour or 8 hours (see below)

By your touch, the seed used in the spell's casting blooms into a fully matured flower, imbued with magic from the feywilds. Choose one of the following effects:

Dawn's Light: This flower reveals the purest insights of one's soul. While this flower is on the person of a willing creature, it sheds bright light for 10 feet, and dim light for an additional 10 feet. Any creature that can see them automatically succeeds insight checks against them to discern their intentions or emotions, or to determine if they are lying. Likewise, they have advantage on Charisma ability checks to convince a creature they mean them no harm, provided that is their true intention. After 1 hour, this flower wilts away to dust and the spell ends.

Dusk Shadow: This flower guards the secrets of one's soul. While this flower is on the person of a willing creature, an invisible shadow swirls around them, guarding their true nature. Other creatures of their choice have disadvantage on insight checks against them, and their true alignment is concealed from all detection, magical or otherwise. After 1 hour, this flower wilts away to dust and the spell ends.

Cycle's Embrace: This flower guards one's soul and subconscious during the sacred hours of sleep. While this flower is on the person of a willing, sleeping creature, they are immune to the Dream spell and any other magic that would affect their mind or soul while they sleep, unless it is magic they willingly receive (such as the alert of an Alarm spell they cast). After 8 hours, this flower wilts away to dust and the spell ends.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you create one additional flower for each slot level above 1st.
