(Flower Magic) Migration - 3rd level Transmutation (Patreon)

Hey friends! Our Flower Magic series will also include a few butterfly themed spells, building off of Butterfly Blade. Here's a powerful escape/movement spell for Druids! It could be given to a Bard, Ranger, Sorcerer, or Warlock depending on the character theme, but I felt it wasn't wholly appropriate for those base lists.

Migration

3rd-level transmutation (Druid)

Casting Time: 1 bonus action

Range: Self

Components: S

Duration: 1 turn

You burst into a swarm of colorful, spectral butterflies until the end of your turn. The swarm fills a 10 foot cube. In this form, your only method of movement is a fly speed of 60 feet. You are completely incorporeal, allowing you to pass through objects, structures, creatures, and even magical effects such as a wall of force or forcecage (without needing to make a saving throw). You can not attack, cast spells, or take any action except the Dash action. You are immune to all damage, attacks can not target you, and you succeed all saving throws.

When you move through the space of a willing creature, you can adopt them into the swarm (no action required). The creature undergoes the same transformation and becomes part of your swarm, moving with you for the duration.

When the spell ends, you and any creatures adopted into your swarm revert to normal form and land in the nearest unoccupied space.
